    Hi All
i bought a western digital My Book 4Tb drive. I thought i bought a version with a ethernet connection but thats now called My Cloud. My mistake

i have it opened so i cant return it. I want to use it to store all my media files on it for my home entertainment system. I thought i could connect it into a router with usb but was told that most routers only support up to 2TB

im stuck so has anyone any suggestions how i get around my problem. Do i just try sell the My Book or is there a router that can slove my issue

Have you asked the seller if they would exchange it for the mycloud version?

One way or another I would get rid of it and get the correct hardware, rather than getting another piece of hardware to get it working as you wish.

I managed to sell the drive at a small loss so hopefully the My Cloud will come down in the sales :-)

    Good result; cheap lesson ;)

You might even save by waiting a little while :D
