Problem with DEAP

    Good morning
    Can anybody assist with this problem - I have been on to SEAI and they simply tell me what my screen grab tells me.
    I get the message noted on the screen garb attached when I click the button on the Dist System Losses and Gains section of DEAP and also when I attempt to upload the file to NAS.
    My internet connection is fine - I have switched off all and restarted - but the problem persists
    Help advice appreciated

    that usually pops up when theres an internet connection issue.

    i assume youve restarted the machine and the problem persists?
    recent up dates could have caused it, so try restart to a previous restore point where your know DEAP worked properly and see if it works again, if so its an update issue, so you could search through recent updates to find the problem.

    i also assume youve contacted NAS and the system isnt off line for upgrading?

    Problem now into 4 days.
    Was on to SEAI - they said that their tech section were aware of some problems and suggested it would be sorted !
    You suggested it might be an update issue - where can I find updates ?

    what operating system are you using?

    search for 'restore points' and select the last restore point over 4 days old

    I got it sorted - took ages - no real help from SEAI
    I ended up using DEAP on an different computer (windows xp ) which I use for CAD and don't have it connected to the internet.
    I connected it temporarily and was able to work though the DEAP program without any difficulty - this narrowed it down to something wrong with my 'normal' computer - which uses Vista - reloaded internet explorer and spent hours trying to find out what had happened - I still don't know !
    I can only guess that somewhere on my protection system, there was something blocking explorer from working as it had done.
    So, my guess is that incoming updates must have caused the issue.
    There still appears to be a longer than usual delay in using the drop down menu - my fingers are crossed.
