I'm feeling slightly sorry for myself this evening and looking for others to feel sorry with! I'm working all over christmas so miss out on practically all nights out with my mates! I know I'm lucky I have a job but it still sucks. Anyone else on the same boat?

Working this year so thankful for that. I have a few days off too though. Working from home a bit also. Could be a lot worse!

Did you hear about the Donegal man in Saudi Arabia?

You know what I'd do in your position op?

Party like fcuk when my shifts had all finished, and I'm off for a week or whatever , and they have the post Christmas blues and are most probably skint too.

Nothing makes post party blues worse than watching some other smarmy git still having the funds, and the stomach to party and not have to get up the next morning for work!

Off Christmas day and Stephens day, back in the rest. No kids so it doesn't bother me too much.
In my last job I used to volunteer for Christmas Day not because I don't like it, I fecking love it, but I rathered those who had kids be there to see them on Christmas morning opening their presents. Oh and the triple pay was gooood paid for Christmas and a holiday afterwards when everyone else was broke

I'm a recent grad so I'm happy to have any job but yeah, the aim for next Christmas is to not have to, or at least not have so far to drive:)

I'd be very happy with a lump of coal, tyvm! But I also want a toaster, or a microwave.

You should get a combi - grill microwave. You'll have more space then for the coal :P

8am - 12pm on christmas eve. Then 10am - 6pm on boxing day. Last bus will be gone by the time I get out of work, so I'm either getting a taxi or walking 7 miles in the dark at 1 in the morning, but we'll cross that bridge when it comes etc.

Five working days left this year. Well, have three days over the Christmas where I've to check my emails, but that can be done from a nice, warm fireside. :) Back in the office on the 5th of January.
