    And then matters got uncontrollable,
    She was reluctant,
He got things how he wanted,
She told him "leave me alone",
He replied, "don't move a muscle".

    Come on, you're in luck,
Be quiet, we shall undertake this as how I would like it,
Be brave and let us get this finished,
Only for dating a woman and forcing her into sex, I would never lose my virginity.

    High and Dry - Radiohead
    Correct.
    Next One:
"Of all the substances I have hitherto encountered, you caused the highest reading on my blood glucose monitor,
But I'm ambivalent to sucrose, my sweet, if you are unobtainable to me
From the moment you left me with no intention of returning,
    My entire existence has collapsed.

    Correct!
I took a bit of artistic license with the last line, it probably should have read "because my tibial nerve has sensed that one is ambulating upon a fractured compound of Calcium Carbonate, Sodium Carbonate & Sand."
...but that would have been a bit wordy.

"Don't return until the early ours of tomorrow
    Scrumping, baking tarts
    Spike our citrus soft drink
    And transport it

Skip lightly across our sparkling metropolis
    In our jewel encrusted loafers
    Perform our happy sliding dance
Sialia sialis where the pirate's parrot perches

Make it dark, bid a pleasant evening
Quiet the mind for a time
We should solve the problem incrementally
You're difficult to trace as you drop from the atmosphere"

I've left out the chorus. It would make it too easy, if you like this band.

Recently with greater frequency than previously,
my mentality prefers meandering into reverse chronology.
Once more I locate me musing
upon the concept of how situations may have differed.
The earth rotations pop in and out like a bat out of hell,
leaving me to doubt the endurance of my myocardium from cradle to grave,
subsisting locally, devoid of your company.

    OK here goes...

And please, please, please, please inform that young gentleman
I have elsewhere to locate myself in at this point in history.
And I refuse, resist, decline, turn down the opportunity,
To be decapitated for any mere mortal.
And if one must ask the question:
Is that young man worthy of my trust?
    Ergo, that is most unlikely,
And I recommend he evacuate the premises.

    Hint: she's Scottish.

Apologies for reviving an old thread. I was hosting our mates weekly Zoom table quiz and get together. I made a round based on the posts in this thread. Most are copies or at least heavily plagiarised from this thread so thanks to all the posters who contributed.

Here are the ones I used in the quiz. Enjoy.
