    so i have a UI that i build and i have a main class my question is how do i run code from the main class in an event. example: on action event run if statement from main class?

    From that, it sounds like that functionality should be put into another class, and just create an instance of that class and use that in the action event. Personally, my main class is normally just the one line for a UI, just creating the main GUI class and starting it.
