Question about wifi speed

Ok maybe someone on here might be able to explain this because I am at a loss.

I was using the PS4 this evening and was finding content very slow to load (not the first time I have noticed this while using the console) so after performing a connection test on PS4 the download and upload speeds were only a couple of hundred kbps! The wifi signal strength was shown as 78% so that did not seem to be an issue.

I then checked the wifi speed on the laptop and the download was 71Mb and the upload 12Mb.

Why such a huge difference in speed?

Try turning off wifi N on your router - set it to G only. Lots of people complain that ps4 gives lousy speed with wifi N.

    go here and try this

the issue is with the isp's dns servers not working well on ps4

use google's dns or open dns instead
