December 5: Ireland announce its intention to host a RWC, confident they can host such a big event.
December 6: Munster v Clermont - the power goes down, no pictures from the studio for Sky Sports.

    Kinda unfortunate timing, huh... :P

Didn't realise Jonathan Davies was at Clermont. Is he normally on the bench for them?

This is his Top14 appearances: http://www.lnr.fr/jonathan-davies,18410.html

    He's had some injury issues.

Clermont seem to be doing well in the Top14 but that was not a good result away to Bordeaux in Oct where they lost 51-21. A similar scoreline today would be great.

Great? I'd sell my first born child to Madonna for that score!

Sale almost did Munster a big favour just there. Sarries just held on while looking fairly poor.

So a 100% record for home teams, then?
Let's hope that record lasts one more week before being broken.

Playing away often leads to a loss in Top 14, but playing away to Bordeaux is bloody difficult - Bordeaux are a great team......I'm a big fan.

Leaving for town now, hopefully the bus arrives soon. Sale did us a favour to restrict Sarries to just 4 anyway.

    Come on Munster!

Just checked there; the bookies rate us 5 points better than clermont...I think at this moment I'd be very satisfied with a 5 point victory. It's v doable today but a big ask all the same.

Sounds like Sarries were lucky to hold off in the end. They wont get 5 against them next week anyway.

Really wish I was back home for occasions like this. Atmosphere should be awesome.
Expect a massive battle and hopefully our midfield holds up against the Clermont backs.
Munster by about 5 seems about right.

    Cmon Munster

Alan Quinlan spoke for a long time just now without saying anything of note.

Except referring to the competition as the Heineken cup.

Fantastic start for Clermont, perfectly executed!

    Well that, was f***ing awful.

Munster were half-asleep there at the start. Try conceded before their head was even in the game.

    Frustrations and indiscipline ahead here.

Clermont really up for this. Done their homework.

Probably the nature of the try conceded after 2 minutes.

Murray has put in two brilliant kicks just there.

I think POM is lucky Barnes didn't go to TMO there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Jones tackled without the ball there in the advantage to Clermont, pretty blatant in front of Barnes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Not looking good for kilcoyne there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,178 ✭✭✭Quint2010

    Peter O'Mahoney- why always him?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,077 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Great turnover and break by O'Donnell there. But Clermont seem unruffled. Bit worrying.

But it couldn't have resulted in a penalty, only back for the scrum.

    Massive ask for Cronin now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,077 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

    Ah no. Kilcoyne off.

Good kick Keatley. That'll settle Munster nerves, and especially Keatley's nerves.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,591 ✭✭✭✭Aidric

Murray is lucky to get away with that. Way too obvious.

Barnes is wrong, that kick was unreal should have finished

Lucky there for Munster with Nalanga knocking on

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,018 ✭✭✭Bridge93

    Huge let off

Munster blessed there. Might as well give them the four points now.
