    €100 installation + above = Fail.
Had been open to going back to them if they were going to have a realistic offering and had sorted out their high ping problem but not at that price for a capped service.
looks like i'll be investing in an external 4g aerial instead.

Oh-look, a banner ad is appearing right above this post (for me anyway) for a Wireless provider in Cork that is advertising what are much more realistic prices and limits

One is probably using licensed spectrum and the other unlicensed, there's a world of difference as I experienced between lightnet and airwire.

lightnet website has been updated with their new packages
Bank Burst Data Burst to increase your download limit by up to 400Gb for an additional €40...all while still subject to their Fair Usage throttling policy
    Contract
    Our contract is 18 months.
    No long term contracts.
So 18 months is no longer deemed long term....

Last attempt to lock ye in and pay through the nose before the NBP?

i suppose at least they have upped their speeds over what airwire offer if those two are yer only options...
Still cant see how adding dl caps on top of the fair usage policy is any benefit to customers when comparing old plans of the same speed to the new ones

€40 for a extra 400GB download limit and you only get 80GB for €40 for 3mb package that crazy.I hope the wisp don't win any of NBP.

Hi I'm close enough to you and the coverage over the past few months has been terrible, reminds me of dial up! There customer service is ok but they just don't seem to be able to offer what they say they can, I would steer clear.

Service is appalling here also between athenry and turloughmore.

Anyone have a number for their customer service? The number on their website doesn't exist??

    I have recently switched from Airwire (€30 package Speed 2 mbit symmetric and unlimited data) to Lightnet (€50 package 10mb download, 1mb upload, 80gb data). What a mistake for the following reasons;
    (1) Paying €20 extra but for a much poorer internet connection
    (2) At least with Airwire I had a constant signal albeit a little slow. Now I have a signal that drops every few minutes and internet pages just crash or simply won't load.
    (3) When ever I do have connection and I do a speed test the results are fine. However it could take 20/30 minutes before I can actually get a speed test completed as the internet signal disappears (website simply time out).
I will send an updated review in another few weeks and let you know if anything changes. At this time I will be returning to Airewire without question.

am also between athenry and turlough and its fine for me
    3mb/1mb

am not being charged extra for using 90-100gb a month either which is the reason i wont give them a tenner more for 5mb and their data burst ffs

saying its worse than airwire is really saying something as that lot are beyond pathetic

As promised, I just wanted to provide an update on my post issued on the 26-Feb-16.

I have completed a full factory reset on my router and the issues seems to be fixed!!

Some points I'd like to make now that I'm up and running on Lightnet for a few weeks.

    (1) the follow up service from Lightnet has been excellent. I reviewed numerous call and constant emails from the the issue was fixed. they were fully engaged and gave a lot of advice on what tests/checks to do to see where the issue was coming from. After a full factory reset there have been no issues.

    (2) I am now getting exactly what I'm paying for - Speed test (using wifi) show that download and upload speed are exactly what I'm paying for (10mb/sec and 1mb/sec).

    (3) Very happy with my switch from Airwire to Lightnet as I can now avail of a much faster service.
