Getting parent an android for xmas gift, need something that has a front facing camera, decent screen size (4.5) and 4g would be a bonus (not a priority). Any recommendations? (not ordering one of those chinese models, may try them for myself though at some point)

There is the Moto G 4G if you can stretch your budget a small bit. Great phone that's always being recommended round here.

landvo l200 but from reviews build quality not best and camera not great but gets good reviews for price

if you want 4g you get landvo l200g but 4gb less memory

what prepaid service has she got, look at companys website and buy 4g phone

unlocked nokia 520 would be ok but you need to buy microsd for more memory

moto g would be good but buy newest version

The Landvo is a Chinese Android phone though. Lots of people having SIM issues with it too, and you would be lucky to get it mid January if you ordered it now.

Can they do without the front camera? The Moto E is a great phone for the price.

Motorola don't network lock their phones. It locks to the first sim put into the phone. And network locks do not variety from one network to another.

It is still €10 cheaper than 3, which was my main point.

Typo, should have been moto e.

That said, the moto g at 158 from meteor is a serious deal. And as I said before, it locks to the first sim you put into it so you can buy it in meteor, pop any sim in and you're good to go.

There's more than one version of the motog. 8/16 gb 3g or 4g 4.5" or 5"

There's the S3 mini or Ace 3 for about 80~99. They are older lesser phones though.

The OP needed a front facing camera. The Moto E doesn't have one.

Ordered Moto E Monday from 3 for 89e, delivered Tuesday, very happy!

Highly recommended to anyone intending to buy efficient, value for money, good quality smartphone for christmas etc

Thanks for all the info. Wanted a phone for my Mam and was looking at the Moto G or the Sony M2. Have decided on the Moto G 5 now as the big screen is the deciding factor and it's reduced in Argos too. Happy out!

They are closer to €200 than under €100

I know that but I'm not the OP. I wouldn't have even known about the Moto G only for this thread. Others may be in same position so just sharing.

any reason why you didn't buy from Tesco Mobile for 10 euro cheaper? Just curious. It comes 'Sim free' too and you could use your 3 SIM.
