Lenser or is it a night force i think con was on about lately? for the head torch, neither cheap but they certainly seem worth it. Most lads wonder are you mad when they ask what's a good torch and you tell them the price, until you hand it to them and they blind themselves with it....

Given that a flashing light is needed for tractors ( I think) it could be a great present as we all know that most of us won't be arsed in getting it ourself!

Con highly recommend a Nitecore HC50

As an alternative, what about a Leatherman?

A pen knife, Victrinox do loads of different models for big and small money.

If he likes his machinery then get Grassmen's Wilson Farming DVD. Just watched part 1 and it's one of the best yet!

Whelan - a few years ago I got OH a long air line (15' approx) with the attachment for pumping up tyres. He can plug it into the air tank of the lorry if he has a soft tyre in the middle of nowhere or blow out the radiator if it gets clogged up with bits of straw/hay . Handy bit of kit in the yard too. Saves having to put the pto pump onto the tractor.

SFP would be a big help........

Seriously though anything clothing/waterproof/outdoors or as already suggested decent headtorch would be good.

Bigger question, what to get Mrs. for christmas?

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

How about a pair of Snickers trousers? All the pockets are fierce handy. They are pricy but I love them.

Mrs Frazz and I have an understanding. She buys what she wants, wraps it, places under the tree and one of the kids hands it to me for the handover on Christmas morning. If she's disappointed it's her own fault
