Moving Sanchez from LW to RW could be very detrimental.

    Welbeck weak as dishwater there.

Good defence there from the guy Glen Johnson is keeping out of the Liverpool squad

Nice little pirouette from Ramsey there, must of been practicing that in his ballet classes.

    Welbeck weak as dishwater there.

It was a very awkward one to take on the run.

I like Cazorla but he reminds me too often of that guy at 5aside who has to always beat a man twice rather than start a counter attack or look for the quick ball forward. Looks nice but slows play too much.

    Ugh Michael Owen

Sanchez the class act in this Arsenal team so far. Everyone else looks pretty ordinary.

Good run from Welbeck and a good save but finish could have been better.

Shame there wasn't someone running in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,933 ✭✭✭✭Francie Barrett

If only Giroud had composure there, could have cut onto his better foot.

    Thought Chsmbers has done well

    ???

    It was his left foot

Owen mentions how he rates Welbeck but says he isn't ruthless.

10 seconds later Giroud puts the ball across an open goal waiting for someone to tap it in...Welbeck needs to gamble more and be a bit more selfish at times.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 35,514 ✭✭✭✭efb

Cazorla should have done better with that

    Limp finish from Cazorla.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,933 ✭✭✭✭Francie Barrett

Arsenal edging into now, Cazorla should have done better really.

Link up play between Giroud and Welbeck is excellent. First goal will open the floodgates today.

I didn't understand either. He did the best he could. Welbeck should have been bombing in

    Arsenal very wasteful here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,933 ✭✭✭✭Francie Barrett

Why are these 12:45 kick-off's always so flat?

Yeah can't beat 530 game for pace and atmosphere

because you've to get a bowl of pasta down you first thing in the morning & wouldn't be assed doing anything after that

Bollocks. How could anyone expect the ball to end up in that position? It would have been silly for Welbeck to have been anywhere near the six yard box.

Arsenal have been so wasteful, what has happened to Ramsey..

yeah. good to see vinny jones is still living though

Ramsey is really beginning to annoy me.
Can't seem to do the simple thing at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,012 ✭✭✭✭Alfred Borden

Again I think Ramsey has been ok. Not at his heights of last year but you can see progress.

I'm hoping this is like the flat games last year where we're basically solid as then score a goal in the second half.

Lets get back to that. That was good.

I can think of a few 12.45 kick offs last season that weren't particularly flat but fairly traumatic for Arsenal :o

I think he's slowly starting to look better, a goal could give him a big lift. He's not setting the place alight but he's not looking as bad as he was for a while there.

Relax, it was more a general point than specific criticism of Welbeck. I'm a huge admirer of Welbeck, just desperate to see him do well and show his class.

Shocking call, he was well onside ffs.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 35,514 ✭✭✭✭efb

Alexis' hands seem to be drawn to the ball

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,362 ✭✭✭K4t

Berahinho yards onside. Arsenal lucky not to be a goal down here.

  • Administrators, Computer Games Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 32,533 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭Mickeroo

Welbeck always seems to take that fraction of a second too long to give the ball in those situations.

Welbeck will never be our number one striker as long as he's afraid to shoot

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 35,514 ✭✭✭✭efb

    Mert lol

A goal shy striker is no good to anyone. get the Ox on.
