Home help for my parents

    Hi Folks,

I hope this is the right area for this question, sorry if its not.

I'm unemployed for the last while and I'm weighing up the idea of getting a bit of income by being a carer for my parents. My Dad is 94 and not too mobile and my mother is 88 and getting to that stage too. They really could do with some help and my Dad had a bad fall recently so he's getting to be accident prone.
I just want to know the whole tax implication if I'm on JSB for the moment can I keep that and still gain a carer's allowance or what?
Is anyone else caring for their parents in this way. It would mean at least that I get to keep an eye on them but also earn a bit too.

Can anyone give me some info here, thanks a lot

    Rich
