See here priced at £29 or around €38 with conversion.

Lowest price they've ever been at.

Cracking deal for one of these. Same are €64.99 in Argos supposedly at half price.

    Very very tempted by this..

Pods work out at about 30c each from https://www.dolce-gusto.ie/coffee-pods which isn't bad at all in the long run

Bought 2 myself for the girlfriend and mother for Christmas. I believe you can get pods in a lot of the supermarkets too? Found this as the girlfriend was telling me about the coffee maker her brother in law got his wife on half price sale in Currys. Half price there was €75!

From looking at their website it looks like you also get a €12 discount on an order for registering your machine!

Anyone know if this is "automatic" or stops by itself? I might get one for my parents but only if all they have to do is pop in a pod and press the button.

Says Automatic ‘play and select’ coffee machine in the description so that should be it i'd imagine

Looking at picking one up for parents too - is there a better option out there for a pod/capsule machine at the same or similar price?

Bought one.. Don't need it, think the pods are a bit of a rip off, but bought one anyway :pac:

it looks close, if not identical to the one my parents have, you pop open the latch on top pop in a pod press down and push the on button, it usually stops for me about 3/4 way into a mug, moving the bar at the back left or right changes the amount of water that goes out, I think.
I've used it around twice myself, they're not too technically minded and seem to have mastered it the past 6 or so months.

Have 2 of these.. one like this one and a manual version.

Great machines in fairness but be aware that getting the pods in shops can be hit and miss (you'll usually get the Americano ones alright but anything else is iffy). You'll probably need to buy them online.

Also my automatic one has stopped running properly after only a few weeks. I've to find time to see why but I'm guessing it could be hard water.

Are these any good? Is the range of capsules daycent? Was going to get a Tassimo for work (have one at home already), but this might be a better option.

Got this machine last year in amazon black friday lightening deals and I love it. Get pods in Tesco or on amazon.

Automatic stop. I usually make a cup with Americano and top it off with an Espresso shot. Delish. At this price, highly recommend it.

As far as I know they only do Nespresso pods.. ? So I'd imagine not, but I may end up popping in later to check

I really like my Tassimo but the pods aren't widely available (Tesco and Supervalu stock Costa Americano and Cappuccino @ €4.80 right now).

BTW, Supervalu had three types of Dolce Gusto pods toady, also @ €4.80.

Nothing to rave about. If you're an instant coffee drinker you'll like it.

Genuine question, if it is instant coffee - and the Nescafe name kinda gives the game away, why do you need a machine to do what a kettle and a teaspoon will do? Am I missing something?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 515 ✭✭✭daithi1970

..to cash in on the whole nespresso thing,i suppose..OH has it at work, the cafe au lait isnt too bad, i cant vouch for any of the other flavours though..
