Photo app in surface 2 wont import photos from hardrive.

    Ive been trying to import approx 1700 photos from an external hardrive into the photo app on my surface 2 with no success..

    The app recognises the hardrive as elements D drive, wen I hit upload, it collects all the photos and then just closes... I've also tried importing an uploading to skydrive through the photo app also but no luck..

    I've also updated and restarted the surface but no joy..

    There is also plenty of storage spare on the device..

    Could anyone suggest what the problem may be?
