    For today I have opted for Ghana v Eq Guinea;

Draw, under 9 corners and under 30 booking pts 18/1

with an unscientific hedging strategy of

Under 9 corners and under 30 booking pts 5/1
Over 9 corners and under 30 booking pts 5/1
Under 9 corners and exactly 30 booking pts 8/1
Over 9 corners and exactly 30 booking pts 8/1

Hoping there won't be a booking in the first half so I can cover the over booking pts thus leaving exactly 9 corners as my Achilles heal.

I just can't see too many bookings in this.

I forgot to post earlier questioning your hedging?

4 yellows would kill every bet? And that looks extremely likely to happen now.

    Edit: There's the 4th.

Looking ahead to the weekends game a standout bet for me is Middlesboro win to nil @11/10 against charlton, they are very toothless upfront only scoring two in the last 5, are in the bottom 3 of the league with regards to goals scored and without a win in over 10, Middlesboro have the tightest defence in the league and should put these away 2-0 or 3-0. Am thinking of doubling with the same bet Chelsea away to villa.

Groningen might be worth a bet of some kind tonight.

Heracles suspended 2 of their, arguably, best players Bel Hassani and Tannane because they misbehaved in their loss against AZ.
They will also miss this weekends match.

Now Groningen doesnt exactly have a great away record but DC @1.55 should be ok combo filler.

    2-2

Interesting game in Oz in ten mins. Newcastle fired five players including captain after losing 0-7 last game.

Brisbane missing main striker and a regular mid fielder.

Newcastle will either pull together for this or fall apart. Will wait for in play see how it lifts.

Fan protests due at this match too looking for better performances from Newcastle.

    France Ligue2 Angers- Tours

We previewed Angers last home game and those notes are reproduced in full below the "good luck" sign off . They lost that 2-1, but were very unfortunate , they immediately got back on track with a win at relegation haunted Chateauroux last week and that was noteworthy as it can on the back of a Monday night game and that is notoriously difficult to overcome in Ligue 2. Angers clearly have their eye on one of the top three spots and with one or two of the teams above them showing signs of faltering, Angers free scoring ways and desire to always hunt for three points, could easily take them close. They are without 14 goal striker Jonathan Kodjia tonight, which is obviously a huge loss, but new signings Jean-Jacques Pierre and Thomas Mangani come into the squad.
Angers did score three in an away win at Orleans in the sole start that Kodjia has missed this season, with Charles Diers scoring twice and Sacha Clemence playing the lone striker role, they can obviously still pose an offensive threat in his absence, but he has scored 9 of their 16 home goals.

Tours let us done last week with a 2-0 home defeat to Ajaccio when I wrote .....

Tours have served us reasonably well this season, we were keen to oppose them early season when they really struggled to overcome huge losses to their squad in the summer, yet continued to seemingly play as theough they had the same personnel ! However, they have now made the adjustment and suddenly found a few goals and ahead of their trip to Dijon earlier this month , where they were a MASSIVE price, I wrote .....

This is my potential upset of the day. Dijon have impressed and are a fantastic 8-0-0 at home and I do feel they will be promoted, but that doesn't mean they have to win every game and in Tours, they are facing a fast improving team who have refound their confidence and their scoring boots. They remain in the bottom three, but are unbetaen in five in all competitions , are buoyed by scoring three on the road in the cup last weekend and have averaged 2.17 goals over their last six starts. On the flip side, they have conceded in each of those, but like earlier in the season, giving up a goal no longer means giving up on the game, far from it and this is a team on the up. They have not won in eight visits to Dijon, which is not a great stat, but six have gone "over" and I definitely feel they will score at least once today, that they will probably not lose on the handicap (+1) and could spring a surprise at a big price, but that perhaps the "over" offers the best value. Hosts are without left back Samuel Souprayen and impressive striker Julio Tavares.

They won that 3-0 (!), subsequently took Ligue1 highflyers St Etienne into extra time, again scoring three goals, won at Valenciennes and have only lost to runaway leaders Troyes and there is no shame in that. They are now out of the drop zone, albeit only on goal difference and will be keen to stay there, they are 5-0-5 at home , which is kind of perfect for betting purposes. They are playing as well offensively as anyone apart from perhaps Troyes and the odds makers have not really caught up with this yet.

Despite coming up short last week, this is a team with huge offensive potential and that is potential which has increased two fold with the resigning of Andy Delort, his circa £2.5m move the the Championship has not worked out well and he has returned on loan for the rest of this season, he scored 24 goals last season for Tours which had a whole host of bigger clubs sniffing around, anyway, his return is a massie boost for the visitors.

Even without Kodjia I expect goals and for Tours to score at least twice, I will opt for 1.5 units "over" 2.5 goals 2.28-2.33 asian line/Sportmarket.....there is plenty of 2.25 available elsewhere.

Angers : Butelle - Angoula, Guillon, Pierre, Thomas - Auriac, Ben Othman, Diers, Frikeche, Keita, Mangani, Manceau, Ngando, Pessalli - Clémence, Razzagui Camara.

Tours : Bertrand, Kamara - Bouhours, Cillard, Gradit, Miguel, Touré - Belkebla, Berenguer, Chavalerin, Damahou, Diaz, Khaoui, Santamaria - Bergougnoux, Delort, Ketkeophomphone, Nanizayamo.

Tours have scored two or more goals in their last three road starts and now get Delort back, Angers have conceded six in their last three home starts and win or lose, how can Tours be 4.0 + to score over 1.5 goals again today ? Sometimes you have to be brave and when something is big and you can get on, bet strongly, results will always take care of themselves long term if we are betting "good" odds, if you can find 3.75 + , I suggest you bet 1.75 units, there is up to 4.33 around.

    UCqcyEZ.jpg

Will not be on line much today and the weekend so cant follow that one up.
Think it has a more than decent change though providing there are no stupid red cards

I had/have Sparta blacklisted on the blackest of blacklists normally so they will most likely fail me.

Over 3 in Jong Twente seems very nice. Hit them @8 for over 4,5 in their last 2 matches when odds reached that point around 20/25th minute at 0-0.
Wouldnt be surprised with a similar score tonight there (5 goals)

Atletico +0.25ah 1.80. Always seem to hold value when playing Barca or Real. At home I think this has plenty of value

Taking the draw in Valenciennes vs Auxerre @ 2.80

Auxerre are unbeaten in 13 games while Valenciennes have lost their last 5 games in a row, can't see either team losing

Skybet have gone 3/1 on City, Chelsea and Southampton to win tomorrow. Pretty big price boost from 6/4  Don't know what the max bet is though.

    Nice one Paul, followed.

Put it in a double with a St. Etienne win who are at home to Lens (4th plays 19th).

Also followed on the Tours goal count.

    Colombia

    Junior - Once Caldas

    Tip: HT/ FT
    1 2

Odds have been dropping on this from high 60's down to 50's to even 32's with another bookmaker.

55/1 Paddy Power if anyone is interested.

Forest green 2/1 playing at home to Grimsby tomorrow seems like great value considering there's only 3 points between the 2. Forest Green getting some form back too.

Wtf is happening to st etienne

In general, they don't score enough goals. I tend to avoid betting on them. 3-3 now, all the same.
