Looking at the USA v Haiti game tonight for some bets

Can see myself getting on BTTS and USA win and BTTS regular in this competition. Missed backing it in the first game already but hopefully they continue on with it tonight.

Two years ago in the Gold cup even Belize who were of amateur standard put one away against the USA. Cuba knocked one in too.

Here's the USA's most recent run of Gold Cup results

    ff0dqa.jpg

The most recent H2H between the two are '09 and '04 which is not really too relevant to today however they finished 2-2 and 1-1

4/6 of the most recent USA games have ended in both teams hitting the net.

I'm going completely against the odds and taking BTTS best priced on betfair @2.56

Also taking US win and BTTS best priced @3.4 on Coral (just jumped from @3.2 while placing bet)

Asides from that odds jump on Coral these odds have been dropping across the board this last while.

All my eggs are in the BTTS market now don't let me down Haiti!

Anyone know why ADO Den Haag are 4/6 to beat Burton Albion. It seems massive odds?

After last night where that US & BTTS bet failed, I'm staying well clear of this thread until the Bundesliga/La Liga/Premiership etc. start again.

Dinny Corcoran has to be best player in world at moment heads and shoulders above the rest of the countries players, he has the look look of a wild fit gazell moves like a panther and I have it on good authority that he only eats raw mackerel caught from the garavogue river in Sligo with the occasional handful of macadamia nut and he was the only player last night not to take part in the four lanterns 40oz burger challenge so he should be well and truely fit and fired for this afternoons kick off

    Dinny FGS 5/1
    Dinng anytime 8/5

(Could be of interest that Rafa cretaro completed the food contest with new Sligo record 7 minutes, he also topped off the challenge with his own created dessert - chocolate muffin icecream with chunks of bacon and chilli mince... I can't see the bhoy lasting the 90 mins, I've asked for odds from paddy power and they have offered me Rafa cretaro not to last 90 mins 5/6)

Slim pickings for me recently too...bray bet earlier is the first decent one in a while.

Friendlies are too volatile, lost too much making stupid bets

Can someone please explain why bookies are offering such high prices for away teams in the mls, even though the league position have a massive gap?

Like seattle sounders are away and they're first in their league while the home team are favourites?
Or does one league in the USA dominate the whole leagues which makes league positioning useless?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,122 ✭✭✭✭retalivity

They're split into 2 conferences but all play each other, and iirc on of the conferences is very weak.
That, and home field advantage is a lot higher or more prevalent in mls than other leagues. Can't find stats right now but I think avg away pts is markedly lower in mls tham in other leagues

I'm in friendlies never bet on the favourite.
Better to play the Asian handicap (+0.5) on aussteiger by a odd @4.0 or @5.0.
than playing a favorite for odd @1.5 (approximately).
Even if we win one match out of three is still going in the black.

But I don't like to bet on friendlies, it's always a lottery

I just re-read and edited my post from earlier...I was a bit blocked.
On that note, don't drink and bet, I was smart enough today to stay away...
And yeah, iirc is "if I remember correctly", as the kids say...

Small bit on David Ramirez FGS @8/1. Same as I did the last night but he only managed to score 3rd! He seems to be Costa Rica's biggest goalscoring threat but isn't priced based on that obviously!

1-0 to the US in the end.

Saw the stats at half time, seemed a terrible game. Not single shot on target at that point. Unders are the only bet that would have paid out decent for this match. Very little corner and card action too.

Will most likely still take the btts in the US v Panama as planned.

    Irtysh vs Aktobe

the odds on Irtysh have dropped from 3.50 to 2.00

Aktobe's coach resigned a couple of days ago after dropping out of the Europa League to a lowly Estonian side, the players will surely be affected by that as they always want to do well in Europe and they've failed at the first hurdle...

Irtysh brought a Bulgarian coach last month and he brought several players from the Bulgarian who seem to be doing well (like some French guy who has 3 goals in 4 games)

    Irtysh Pavlodar @ 2.00

    Feyenoord - Fortuna Dusseldorf

    Feyenoord win @2.2

Feyenoord: Vermeer; Karsdorp, Van Beek, Kongolo, Vilhena; Toornstra, Vejinovic, Immers; Basacikoglu, Kazim-Richards, Achahbar

Kuyt, Boetius and El Ahmadi will get playing time as well.

    Trinidad & Tobago -vs- Cuba, Trinidad & Tobago (-2) @ 2.820

    Trinidad good composition.
And much stronger Cuba + ability to confidently leave the group.

Can get 1.25 on MOrgan S joining United now. Word is the deal is done. I think that's a very good price.

Some cuba players didnt even get into country difficulty getting them visas so cuba are pretty weak

CL 2nd qualifying round, there should be a ton of underish games, last year only 3 games out of 17 went over 2.5. Already made a bunch of under 3.5 combos, gone big on this one:

    under 3.5 in
    BATE vs Dundalk
    Ventspils vs Helsinki
    Partizan vs Dila Gori
    @ 1.78

for tomorrow's games only: under 3.5 in Sarajevo vs Lech / APOEL vs Vardar / Ventspils vs Helsinki / Partizan vs Dila @ 2.18

under 3.5 in Celtic vs Stjarnan is huge too
