Crystal Palace v Liverpool 1.30 PM KO SKY

Righty-ho, two teams with no form at all meet. Liverpool remain without Daniel Sturridge, with Flanno and Suso the other definite absentees. Balo and Enrique are possibly out, Sakho might be on bench. Hendo is apparently fit to play (had been a doubt).

Given Rodgers singular unwillingness to ring the changes for league games, one can assume Lovren, Gerrard, Johnson and Balo (if fit) will start the game in a defeatist 4-2-3-1/4-3-3 formation.

I'd love to see Manquillo, Can and Lallana start in a 4-4-2 diamond with Borini given a chance but it won't happen.

Palace have been poor this season but 3/1 (10/3 in places) on them in this game is still pretty big I reckon.

    Fixed that for you, Harry.

Balo definitely out. So Lambert will start I bet. On his own. 0-0 if we're lucky.

At least Saturday was spared. Should really play all our games on Monday night and then every weekend is a good one

Palace might be struggling a little bit but they are a top side playing at home. Liverpool should be happy even delighted with a draw, heck a narrow defeat shouldn't be snubbed either.

I'd be happy enough if we can keep them down to 5.

Yeah and if we score one or two it be great.
    We have to be realistic.

If rodgers persists with one up front il go 0-0,if he goes 2 up front il go 0-0 aswell

Liverpool to put on another display of comical defending. Palace to score 2 with at least 1 coming from the usual super duper efforts at defending free kicks and corners.

In reply Liverpool might scramble something.
I'd like to see a line up consisting of

    Mignolet
    Manquillo Toure Sahko Moreno

    Can

    Sterling Couthinho Lallana

    Balotelli Borini.

That of course won't happen. In fairness to Gerrard he should be ready to go, he's had a good rest last few weeks.

Hopefully our new signing Owen Gole will chip in with 1 or 2.

Liverpool to win, because we can't lose every week.

A Palce team under Pulis and I fancy their chances, but not same team and I would expect Liverpool to scrape through 0-1.

Palace to heap more misery on a miserable Liverpool team

Liverpool need to win this after last seasons match.

Hopefully our new signing Owen Gole will chip in with 1 or 2.

And people say player swaps don't work out.
Offay De Woodwork wasn't doing the business for us and now he's playing a blinder for his new club since he's been moved back from striker to goalie.

Lambert on his own up front. This is depressing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,591 ✭✭✭✭OwaynOTT

Let's get the collapse, out of the way early this year. Smart thinking by the Rodgers.

Johnson at LB is at least a small bit better than Johnson at RB

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

I though Hendo was declared fit to play? Still no biggie. One up means little chance.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,151 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Lallana needs to stick as close to Lambert as possible

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,648 ✭✭✭mav79

Kelly at RB for Palace to have the game of his life!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,398 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Lambert up front on his own so when he switches back to Balotelli it looks like an improvement.

Happy enough to see Lallana get a start.

Looking on the bright side, we start this game with 11 players for the first time in a long time...:o

    Rodgers must really hate Borini.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,648 ✭✭✭mav79

A lot of pace in that Palace attack, hopefully we don't leave too much space at the back.

Not sure if ill even bother with this match with that lineup....

What a depressing line up. This has disaster written all over it.

Can only hope that Sterling is central

It is not going to happen

    This will not be pretty

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,317 ✭✭✭kevohmsford

Crystal Palace starting XI: Speroni, Kelly, Delaney, Dann, Ward, Jedinak, Ledley, Bolasie, Puncheon, Chamakh, Gayle.

I'm going to go with 9-1, all Liverpool outfield players to score.
