Audio problem

Hello, I have been copying, successfully, from my sky HD hard drive to a Toshiba DVR20KB DVD Recorder & VCR for several years. However, recently when I try to play the recorded dvd (either in the player or on a computer) there is picture and no audio. Can you help! Many thanks. M
