Look like two humdingers! Pity they clash. We'll know a lot more about the NFC on Sunday night.

The Cardiac Cards are 8-1 for the first time since they were in Chicago (1948)!

Ravens on a bye, Steelers & Bengals on the road

Browns could take a one game lead in the division if results go their way. They should beat the Texans, it's Ryan Mallet's first start

I'm looking forward to this game

Rams have named Shaun Hill as their starter this week coming. Begs the question, has there ever been a season with as many starting QB changes?

As of this week you have Tampa, Rams (twice), Philly (inj), Texans, Arizona (inj), Jets, Redskins (twice), Vikings, Titans and Bills all change their starting QB at some stage in the season. I might be way off but it seems like a lot more this year for one reason or another.

Nice one I'll be able to watch the sunday night game as I've been told I have days to take off from work so who am I to disagree.

I've been doing well with handicap betting recently... That may be about to end....

    Denver
    Browns
    Chargers

The above should beat the spread.....

Going with the Dolphins tonight, got €15 on Miami -2.5 and over 24.5 points total at 6/5.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,369 ✭✭✭UnitedIrishman

Think it's going to be a low scoring affair given each sides defences. Think Tannehill might just make enough plays to win it - he will have to given his offensive line issues.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,495 ✭✭✭✭Billy86

I always thought the Bills backup RB was BOBBY Dixon... nope, it is indeed BOOBIE Dixon. Just a shame Sam Gash isn't around anymore to block for him.

Boobie and Gash, it's got a certain ring to it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,052 ✭✭✭poldebruin

Just joining the game now. Doesn't look like I missed much. I'm a captive audience for the 2nd half so I will have to endure it. At least it's a close game.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,495 ✭✭✭✭Billy86

It helps my bet, but that grounding call is a perfect example of the big name QB bias I was talking about a week or two back - if Manning, Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Luck, Rivers or Roethlisberger do that, it would have never been flagged.

This game is a mix of dolphins being good and bills being dreadful

Their backup is Anthony Dixon he is nicknamed Boobie which he got in College. Named after Boobie Miles in Friday Night Lights. What I find mad is that Bills are the first ones to officially use Boobie when he was with the 49ers he was known as his real name.

I had the below 41.5 last night. Godd defenses. Looks like Tannehill is really developing and trusting himself.

Just catching up on the game now. That was some home cooking from the refs in the 2H last night.

Bogus DPI call killed a game I was really enjoying.

That Bills front 4 is just amazing.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,495 ✭✭✭✭Billy86

Yeah it was a good game for a low scoring one - two over matched offenses aware that they were overmatched, cautiously working down the field and getting what they could take. A fumbled punt and and Tannehills fumble aside there weren't really any bad mistakes made apart from some blocking errors, though against two excellent pass rushes. Not much punting, and the running and short passing games were both sound.

Then the refs ballsed it up. Wasn't a fan of the grounding penalty... fair enough if you're going to give it, but in future try giving it against the top 10 QBs too in those instances. The DPI call was egregious to put it mildly, especially with how stacked against DBs the rules already are. The Bills imploded a little offensively in the second half too, but for the most part I really enjoyed seeing two coaches call the right game on that side of the ball with limited resources, given what they were up against. Even little things like declining the delay of game penalty because a 40 yard punt would be tougher than a 45 yarder to pin back.

Didn't like the taunting/unsportsmanlike conduct penalty that cost Buffalo a first down either, but I have a feeling a banned word was probably used.

Worst of all, Tannehill messing up that pass for TD near the end cost me a €33 swing, bah humbug! Hartline I think it was had 5 yards to throw to and all!

You should have watched the Bills Vs Chiefs game last week. Still trying to figure out how the Bills managed not to win it.

I want you to take a moment, and I want you to look each other in the eyes. I want you to put each other in your hearts forever because forever is about to happen here in just a few minutes. I want you to close your eyes, and I want you to think about Boobie Miles, who is your brother. And he would die to be out there in that field with you tonight. And I want you to put that in your hearts. Boys my heart is full. My heart is full.

    Best speech ever.

Was looking at the US network coverage maps for this week here, http://506sports.com/, and was very surprised to see how little attention the top 2 seeds in the NFC are geting for the late afternoon slot.

Anyway looking forward to it and last year this game provided in my opinion, one of the best photographs taken during a match in the NFL that season.
    Patrick Peterson vs Megatron!

I heard an interesting fact coming into todays games.
The QB's on the Lions roster in 2010 (Stafford, Hill, Stanton) & the Patriots roster in 2011 (Brady, Hoyer, Mallett) will all be starting today!

Frank gore just decided to fumble the ball. Giants recover.

Chiefs for me are the team that has been underrated by a lot of people. I think its a case where they look at Alex Smith as nothing more than a game manager and just dismiss them because of that.

They were very unlucky to lose against Denver earlier in the season. The officials didn't help that at all that day. A bad first day loss to the Titans is the only real bad performance they have had this season. They are right in the mix for postseason football.

I don't know how Jamaal Charles got in there. Was looking at the play and was certain he would be out at the one but he was just so fast that they never got to him.

That is just brilliant from Russel Wilson, what a throw while running to the right. I just don't know how he can be so accurate in that situation but he does it almost every week.

The saints need to be kicking the FG and get points instead of turning it over on downs.
