Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    I'M GOING TO SCOTLAND BABY!

    Same flights as Kiki (Ryanair Friday 2:00pm, Monday 3:00pm). Cost: €117 inc. travel insurance (better safe than sorry!)

    Same hotel as Ayjay, 3 nights: €229

    €346 total, not too bad for a wee little video game holiday!

    So, roll-call, who else is booked and going?

    "Those of you familiar with Hypespotting will know of the Thistle Hotel, our home for the last 3 years. This year, however, the Thistle realised that our event was simply far too HYPE and in an attempt to counter this, they unleashed a wakeup booking cancellation.

    Upon learning of this we channelled the machine, searched for a new location, and can now announce nothing but S-tier news.
    This year Hypespotting 4 will be coming to you from the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton Glasgow and will allow us to put on the event guaranteed to be 'even more HYPE' than any of our previous years. Introducing: Our own entrance; a cloakroom; a lobby and barspace combo; an open space casual zone; and a stage of epic proportions!

    Worried about getting directions from the Easy hotel? Fear not. We'll be updating the site with travel directions to the Hilton, a 5-10 minute walk away. While unfortunate to happen so close to the event, we've turned this into a huge positive, giving us the opportunity to produce a tournament on the large scale it deserves. The scale of which the UK will never have seen before, in a venue that's fitting for all of the players!"

    The new venue means more games now.

    Guilty Gear Xrd, Melee and 3rd Strike are on the main game roster now.

    EDIT: These three are actually community tournaments. You pay £5 up front to compete.

    Wow I was so rusty in that match! Still, was mad fun tournament. That match of me vs Ryan looks so scrubby to someone who just plays SF4 because of all the jumping. However you can actually jump with impunity a lot in 3s if you know the matchup/ranges properly. Urien can jump for free and do a j.rh and on parry/block it can't be punished by at Ken in certain ranges :D
