It hasn't failed. It accomplished its goal of gender equality in most of the Western World.

Feminists got bored with that and now want to become the dominant gender, and inflict the same gender discrimination on men that women once suffered.

There are still numerous countries in other parts of the world where there is still appalling gender discrimination against women. The bored feminist would be much better off going some of those countries where they are needed.
