Hi Cathal, tried those and the screen flickered....horiszontal lines got thicker and thinner

The small black ones...I think thats might be them from the manual that I was sent, how do you adjust them as they have no nobs on them?

Thinks theres a specific pot to increase or decrease scanline thickness. Not relevant here.

Lads there's being careful and and all I understand but there's little chance if shock unless you're at the anode cap.
Check out that vid I posted while back (the 8 hour one) If you have a few minutes.........
I think he takes off the anode cap with his bare hands with the screen on.
Carefully of course but the electricitys not going to jump out at you like in the movies!

Ha.....dont think i'll risk Technofeaks idea....

On a serious note, how can I adjust them?

Small flat head or Phillips. Take note of where they were/ how many turns youve done and if not better adjust back to original settings

Witha a board plugged in I'd assume

As above ^. The anode (or 2nd anode for those who watched those videos :) ) is simple and safe to discharge with basic precautions. The B+ is much more likely to kill you than the HT.

Great series of videos btw, anyone playing around with CRT's should try and watch them.

    So next suggestion from Gunblade....

"First disconnect the video input cable and see if it remains the same
next step would be to desolder the crt neck pin for the green gun-that will prove tube or chassis"

Ehh no idea...me thinks im screwed!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,155 ✭✭✭CathalDublin

that should be easy for anyone handy with a soldering iron

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 678 ✭✭✭Mitchomagic

You should measure up your panel against the silverline cabs, it looks like a silverline panel might be the same size
