So... I'm a strange eater, I eat things that shouldn't go together but I find them to taste great!

Currently I'm eating crushed up Meanies with grated cheese... I'll add cheese to anything really!

    Mayonnaise on pizza too... Om....

Have you got any weird food combinations that you just love? :)

Bar the usual Tayto and chocolate that is!:pac:

I'm really interested to hear if there's any more weird eaters out there!

Sausages in tea, handy for stirring the tea and then you can eat it after.

    Mayo with pizza isn't weird.

I love coleslaw sandwiches with cheese and tayto, I don't think it's a weird combo but my friend think it's sick!

I also dot some ketchup into my coddle. Again, I don't think it's weird but other people seem to think so.

Oh, and I dip cheese&onion hunky dorys into my soup, it's amazing.

A former colleague of mine used to eat banana and brown sauce sandwiches ... to this day even the thoughts of it makes me nauseous.

As part of the same discussion i discovered tha pasta and milk (one of my favourites) is a weird combination!

    Peanut butter on apple slices.

Cup of tea in your cereal instead of hot milk. Perfect on cold mornings! Doesn't work with every cereal mind. Rcie krispies goes to pure mush, but its great with Special K.

You can just add peanut butter to anything. I made a peanut butter sandwich a while back that I accidentally dropped a piece of minty chewing gum into. The gum somehow melted in my mouth before I realised what was happening, but it was delicious!
    Haven't had it since, mind.

Somebody said chips and gravy - is that weird? I was raised on chips and gravy!! Nomnom!!

Noodles on cream crackers are class.

I can see the appeal. I've never thought to put butter directly on chips but I do enjoy a chip butty with loads of butter.

I like dipping crisps in fizzy drinks. :o

Bacon as in what most of the english speaking world calls bacon, but a few folks in Ireland call rashers, but I'm sure you knew that already :p

Jasus, I was only wondering, not critiquing your English. I have a lump of boiled bacon left from yesterday and a half jar of peanut butter in the press, was going to give it a go. Have no rashers.

In the last few weeks my boyfriend has taken to eating black liquorice with triangles of Laughing Cow cheese....no joke. He did it once as a joke, and loved it! He wasn't feeling well yesterday...so I bought him both as a treat

I was feeling kind of nauseated before I read this thread, now....

I have to ask, are these things you eat while drunk? Stoned? Hung-over? Or is it just a regular Monday lunch?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,093 ✭✭✭rawn

Sprouts roasted and cut in half, in a sandwich with some cheese and some Tayto with a bit of mustard, toasted in the George Forman. Amazing.

Hmmm. All of my weird flavour combos seem to involve crisps...

Sorry I'm not familiar with the rasher vs bacon debate and I'm hormonal!
