    Hi,

Has anyone every heard of or had The Dawson Program? Its a alternative treatments that realigns your energy system in the body.

I have booked in for a session in a couple of weeks. It can be used for pain or can help with anxiety and depression etc.

Alternative? That normally reads as "Not Legit".

Reading up on it I see "based on ancient traditions originating 5,000 years ago". I have no idea why someone would go looking for medical treatment which was used 5000 years ago. It wasn't so long ago they were still using leeches for everything.

"Developed more than 35 years ago, the technique, which is also known as Vibrational Kinesiology, treats a patient by correcting the malfunctions in their electrical field using sounds, affirmations, intention and semi-precious stones"

There are a lot of snake-oil salesmen out there! Is there any study or research to back any of it up?

    Sounds like absolute Hocus Pocus!

By the looks of this, it is absolutely and categorically 100% bollocks.

In my opinion, the only benefit you will get from this is in the form of a placebo affect on your own subjective interpretation of your health/energy.

I have a few questions for you though, before you go splooging what I assume will be a significant amount of dosh on this:

    1. What is currently wrong with your 'energy system'?
    2. In your own words, what do you understand by the term 'energy system'?
    3. In what way will the 'realignment' work, and how will this make your life better, or justify the money you would have to spend in order to get this realignment to occur?

I'm not trying to appear insincere of facetious. I do think that if you consider these questions and this Dawson Program seriously you may come to realise that either you don't need this treatment, or that you would be better off spending your money and time elsewhere in order to get the results you are looking for.

    That's my take anyway.

As long as you are not spending large amounts of money and you aren't using it treat anything serious, knock yourself out. The actual treatment doesn't matter, just feeling like someone is doing something about your problem is what has an efect.

It's a buyers market though as there are loads of people offering these kinds of services and they are all as good as each other - angel healers, homeopaths, energy manipulators, loads. Don't worry about qualifications or anything like that, they are all equally valid. So make sure you haggle on the price. If they wont give a substantial discount just move on, there are loads of others out there who should be willing to play ball. Even if they do give a discount, check around to see who will match it before you commit to anything.
