Grateful for advice from BER assessors -
If a Chimney / open fire has a plywood sheet closing off the chimney - is this consider a blocked Chimney - seem to recall such a temporary closing method should not be considered as a blocked up chimney - and as such secondary heating in DEAP would remain as open fire with open chimney - comments appreciated
    thanks

Read first paragraph in DEAP section 2.1. Sounds like you're dealing with timber panelling fixed in place.

read it early this AM - seems it should be labelled as a blocked up chimney
    thanks for your comments
