Yeah, very poor, I'm dreading the bears game. You never know what can happen a team in a bye week, and it's a funny league at the best of times, but the bears aren't looking like a team likely to produce any miracles. Not to mention losing this game will more or less end our season (if it's not already over). If we run the ball more and stop being so reactive to the defense instead of establishing our own game we might get somewhere against this d (I'd also like to see us run a more up tempo offense which suits Cutler better). But as things stand we've just checked out down to forte in the passing game all the time, paying into other teams hands. But all that is a little irrelevant because I don't see what we've got on defense to curb their deep passing game. Read somewhere about the need to force Rodgers left, which might keep them below forty points, but we haven't blitzed well all year and I don't see how that changes now.

On paper a relatively easy week to predict, the only one I'm really unsure of are the 9ers and Saints (I expect a big response from the 9ers after last week) and the Browns-Bengals (doubt many will disagree with my prediction all the same). That obviously doesn't mean all the others will go according to script, but there's no really obviously 50/50 games. Most have a clear favourite.

Im gonna take the Bengals tonight in a close one, purely because they are the home team, they are the better team naturally, but these two often have close fought contests and upsets. Ill come back to the rest

Amazed the Steelers are only 4.5 favourites, in New York or not that seems easily the value bet of the week for handicaps.

there'll be far more Steelers fans than Jets there too, always the case when they come to NY

Why would you throw 3 passes if willing to go for it on 4th down?

The Bengals are playing really, really dumb football so far in this game.

how are nfl players so terrible at falling on the ball it always seems to take 3-4 attempts

game set and match anyway the bengals have to be one of the most under performing teams in the league they should be a pro bowl level team.

After a really bad opening Haden is back looking like a Top corner.

The whole secondary is playing at a high level. Gipson, Whitner look really good and Skrine / Williams have done well.

This despite #8 overall Justin Gilbert being absolutely awful. Wouldn't expect a rookie corner to be playing at too high a level but he's being worryingly bad. There's undrafted rookies that are playing at a higher level.

We'll give him a pass though this year.

Kruger played well too last night though the Bengals were playing a backup right tackle so that helped

It's not on the stat sheet, he didn't get a sack but he was pressuring Dalton all night and he also batted a few passes

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

Not much of a surprise really, well, the scoreline was a surprise I suppose but the Bengals are capable of that kind of muck. Happy the Browns won, I like the organisation a lot more then the Bengals :) Thankfully not a match up I ever bet on after being burned too many times so I could just watch and laugh!

Bryant looks fully healthy now which is a big plus.
Texans, Falcons , Bills next 3.
Our schedule is as easy as it gets. That slip at the jags could cost us big. It will also be remembered. Could go 0-3 as easy as we could go 3-0 in them games.

Also, another fair catch muffed last night. That's fcuking 3 players this year.
Let Gilbert catch them and build up some confidence. He was great in college at running them back.

Had a feeling the jig was up early with the Bengals. They were making such bad decisions on play calling and then Dalton couldn't even give his receivers a chance with some of his passes despite them being wide open.

Good to see the Browns and Hoyer do well. He had a lot of pressure on him given Johnny Football is waiting in the wings so its good to see him succeed.

Has anyone seen a worse QB performance all season than Dalton's last night?

That was embarrassing, shameful. It's not as if he was playing the Seattle D. I had no particular interest in the game last night, but if I was a Bengals fan I would be very depressed now. The Raiders would have beaten them last night and Andy Dalton did not look like an NFL quarterback. How much money did they give him?

That pass that hits Krugers feet is easily the worst throw I think I've ever seen from a QB. I have no idea what he's even trying to do there.

He's clearly just trying to throw it away. Pretty typical thing to do, especially as it was a screen the Browns were all over.

Passer rating of 2.0. deserves whatever criticism he gets but will probably go out next week and throw 4-0

Delighted to see former Patriot Hoyer doing so well. Picked the Bengals, felt it always could go either way, but never expected that shyte from Dalton. I have a feeling this could be a bad week for my picks. Especially the against the grain ones.

Probably, don't imagine they'll be changing that policy. The end result though is I simply won't watch the 6pm games.

It's pretty pathetic on Sky's part, to be honest.

Redzone on Gamepass and a HDMI wire for me.
