Forgive me first of all as I'm a complete novice on all of this and don't understated half the terminology
My nan has saorview on her tv - don't know what make her box is though.
The other night she lost all her channels. I called to her yesterday and did a basic retune and got everything except for rte1. No matter how many ways I tried I couldn't get it back but everything else is there.
What do I do to fix this for her?
Need it explained in very basic instructions. TIA

Sudden loss of signal, followed by inability to get all the channels, would indicate a failure in the aerial system: could be weather-related (maybe water ingress) for outdoor parts or, accidental damage for indoor parts (cables, connections at the TV). And water can make its way down cables to affect the indoor parts.

Does she have an outdoor aerial?

What type of aerial is she using and where is it located?

Most likely an aerial/signal problem. RTÉ1 and RTÉ1+1/RTÉjr are carried on a different frequency to the other channels.

Ah crap. Yeah she has an Outdoor aerial as far as I know. Ok. That'd be a job for my uncle so.
She has the rte news channel. Is that carried on a different frequency to rte? Don't think she had the junior channel yesterday
