    Hi,

My parents Sky+ remote keeps turning off the surround sound when the Sky button (or any of the top 4 services buttons) is pressed. I tried resetting the remote to factory settings, but the issue persists. I will be trying another remote tomorrow to see if the issue is still there.

    Any ideas?

I bought a "genuine" sky remote once but it does funny things like that and it won't rewind either. Is it genuine?

Yep, came with the sky+ box a couple of months ago.

If this is a Sky+HD box can you go to: SETTINGS > PICTURE and turn "HDMI control" off.

I'll try that next time I am out there.
