External Hardrive help

I have a Seagate Portable 2.0 USB Hard drive. I'm trying to connect it to my hp pavilion
15-n090sa laptop. I was messing around with it trying to use it as a hard drive for a ps3.
The problem now is that when I connect it now, it registers that I've connected it but it doesn't show up when I look for it in 'This PC'
I can find it under devices but it doesn't allow me to do anything with it and I cant view anything on it.
Also I cant 'Send to' from the hard drive on my laptop.

Any valuable data on it?
You should see it in DiskManagement, and be able to delete/create partitions or format them from there

No there is nothing important on it. I can see it in dusk management. I'll try and format it now.

External drives often have manufacturers software on them that sometimes fail. If you format it and still has issues zero the drive for like 5 minutes, or the entire drive if you want. You don't need the software anyway for what you would be doing I imagine.
