I can understand now why they are having a half time break but they should just show the whole match deferred

There could be a bucket load of action missed by not showing the first 15 minutes.

What is more ridiculous is that Sky could easily show the first 15 mins on Irish TV. I remember they played an El Clasico at 3pm a couple of years ago. It was a fairly irrrelevent one as the title race was as good as over but still ridiculous that Irish people cant watch it.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but that game wasn't on sky, it was shown on Arabic tv. The relevence of the match is, errr, irrelevent, no game can be shown on British TV during those hours.

Surely Sky could provide an option for their Irish viewers to watch the first 15 minutes live.

Sky couldn't care less about non English viewers. Incidentally Wales don't have this rule either. And the football authorities are trying to stop people streaming. Best of luck with dumb restrictions like this. I'll be watching the whole game live on Polish tv

They could if they wanted to. They already carry specific advertising content for the UK and Ireland so it'd just be a case of using the same technology.

This game further highlights the rubbish of their European football channel (Sky Sports 5). Plenty of live football throughout Europe on a Saturday afternoon. Instead Sky are showing Soccer Saturday….
