Since it's "Crimefest" now (1 year since the game was released) and they're releasing a ****load of new content, they've just overhauled some of the skill trees, what do folks here think?

I have it,

been playing it with the new skill point changes and perks, they've really messed up the accuracy on my rifles, and bots seem really buggy atm too. Lost a player as ye do, last night and the hoxton bot took over - he got tazed and was stuck in the tazed animation for the rest of the map. It was hilarious but yeah, buggy.

That refund was for the skill points and their redesign was handy though, might actually buy some the dlc if they work out the bugs

They're usually fairly quick with working out the bugs in the updates, but yeah heard about a fair few bugs alright.

I'm absolutely thrilled with some of the Tech tree changes, as someone who played Ghost/Technician which definitely wasn't the most optimal playstyle before, they've made it so that sensor mines highlight guards during stealth, making it a way more viable build. Also makes a break from everyone packing EMCs on stealth heists, and their usefulness on the Shadow Raid, Election Day and Framing Frame heists are gonna be awesome.

The OVE9000 Saw being able to be a primary or secondary weapon is class in Enforcer! Didnt see much else different in the enforcer tree, But..
I can take a decent ranged weapon with me now instead of relying on the (awesome but no range) secondary shotgun which should be really handy

Body shots, so the trick is shotguns with HE damage, or the Thanatos 50 Cal

The spooky thing is, if you don't look at them, they won't attack. Apparently you can do the whole thing by avoiding looking at them :eek: haven't tried that myself, just emptied clips into 'em

Question for the people here who play it regularly.


Can the majority of heists be done stealthily now, and do silencers work properly yet?

Have played this previously on console and am unsure whether to pick it up for PC yet. Any opinions welcome!

stealth is an option for about 75% of the heists - it tells you when it is, and isnt. Silencers work well and always have in my own experience - there's even a skill tree dedicated to boosting the damage silenced weapons have by a pretty hefty %

Didnt even know it was on consoles, always played it on pc

Some of the console bugs were annoying, silencers never properly worked at all, has there been many new stealthy maps released outside of the original ones?

I quite enjoyed framing frame and the Bank heist when done stealthily so am considering it for those two alone.

There's a load of great stealth maps now, including one that's stealth-only; the shadow raid. Newer maps that can be done stealthy are Election Day, GO bank, the Big Bank, Art Gallery, which is the first day of Framing frame released as a single day heist, and I don't know if the Diamond　Store was on the console versions? but anyway, there's a load of stealthable content and they've done some great work fixing a lot of stealth mechanics. Also, the Armored Transport heists although loud can unlock a second day, the train heist, which is stealthable. They really keep adding a load of great new content and will be doing so for the next 2 years apparently.

Yeah the diamond store and Ukrainian store were on console as well, enjoyed them also.

Clover is awesome, and the 'Queen's Wrath' assault rifle is super!

They should have used an Irish voice actor though, but at least they got someone that did a bit of research

I think my biggest problem with the game is that the initial learning curve sucks, you're given very little knowledge going in and then just thrown in. I'd say try host a game and then ask folks to give you some tips as to what you should be doing. Honestly, Payday 2 is one of the few games where I'll gladly jump into public groups, very rarely run across assholes and most of the community seem to be really cool

You know something I absolutely love? They've introduced Skill Sets, so you can have different builds, so now I have a second build that I can swap between

Going Technician/Enforcer, so I'm just packing on the armor! also, I got the historical weapons pack for the sole reason it has an MG42, it's a ****ing bullet hose, insane rate of fire, but steady enough and accurate enough to even take out snipers with (ok, not ideal, but it's doable compared to other LGMs) and a good amount of ammo. I really love it, it's a monster of a weapon, and with all my armor I can march straight up to a bulldozer and just unload in his face

All I need now is a suitable mask and I can pretty much recreate Jin Roh :pac:

they have, autokick for known cheats/glitches etc.. but if you host the game and cheat it wont kick you apparently

I've joined on deathwish, a few where the host had unlimited ammo, and console commanded unbreakable boarding for bank windows, instakilled everyone, civs, cops you name it, and then began spawning bags of gold at his feet..

i don't see the point really, but it happens from time to time, i dont even like duping keys on hoxton's breakout
