A little personal and unnecessary, but hardly the end of the world. I imagine the girls have heard worse, but still no need to be cruel.

Terry Wogan. The Bee Gee Sisters are not a patch on the Nolan Brothers.

At the risk of tarring our Near Eastern brethern with a brush the width of the Urals,

What do you expect from a cow but a kick?

When you grab a teat for the first time milk is not a given, but a kick sure is.

They had sister killed in a drive by shooting in Compton around ten years back.

If you go to 4m12sec of this song The Game dedicates the song to her:

Nothing to do with the thread but sure what else would you be doing of a Saturday.

You are condemning the bovine race unfairly. They are mostly placid creatures, happy to allow their lactic bounty to be extracted without any fuss. But there is always one cross cow in the byre, which needs to be approached with a certain degree of circumspection.

    I write from experience.

How can you honestly use this one example of utter stupidity on the part of the head of the Russian Tennis Federation as an example of the world succumbing to politically correct madness? Should allowances be made for his stupidity?

He was fined, job done, he won't be so quick to make an ass of himself again. Is this not a good thing?

I think you're the only person making a big deal out of nothing tbh.

If somebody calls Justin Bieber a pretty little girl, people laugh, cos it's kinda true, but if somebody comments on the Willams sisters' androgynous characteristics there's uproar, cos it's kinda true too.

I'd be inclined to say the people who fined him made a big deal out of nothing, tbh

This wouldn't be atypical of Russian humour, starets. For the record I think the two Williams gals are noble hunks of woman-meat, but in all fairitude I've seen that Venus wan with a highly-suspicious five-o'clock shadow...

Tennis is good it's just womens tennis. All that feckin needless screaming. Makes me change channel faster than an infomercial.

For those of us who remember Pete Sampras' rather impressive but pointless .50-cal rifle serve, women's tennis is excellent. There is also the matter of Sorana Cirstea. Hoo-yaaah!! ;)

I don't know did you ever watch Monica Seles playing, but I'd usually mute the television in case anyone heard and thought I was watching porn! :D

Maria Sharapova's scream/woooooooooooo drives me up the wall. Totally ruins a good game because I like the slower plays of womens tennis but I'll be ****ed if I can put up with the noise. Wish they'd crack down on it.

I think they've better rallies sometimes in the women's game because they don't hit as hard. Agreed about the screaming though.

    WHAT???!! :confused::mad:

    I'm not having this.

It is patently obvious that men's tennis is better at volleys.

The same reason the English are useless at it. It's a class thing.

There's more public courts and clubs in the country now than there's ever been. I think we'll see more and more people taking it up in years to come. It's a relatively inexpensive hobby to pick up.

Golf used to be seen as an elitist sport at one point, now you find all levels of society playing it. I remember my towns club captain telling me when he was a boy in the 50s he wouldn't have been let in the gate of the club let alone become a member.

I like that about the world now, another example is a few of the Dublin players who were graduates of fee paying non-GAA schools, and some of the Leinster players being from humble non-rugby strongholds
