    Hi there,

So I am travelling tommorow to Dublin from Limerick with Irish Rail & bought a student return ticket online. I have only just noticed that my card expired in August this year... I was sure it was okay until December.

My question is: will I be safe to travel or will they fine me? How often do they check student cards if at all? What are the consequences? I'm really worried now & not quite sure if I should just act natural & go or if I should tell them my card expired in August. Advice?

Your student card MUST be in date.

    100 euro + fare difference

    And they do check
