Might not be the coolest thing ever, but this really does help me feel better all day once dark winter mornings hit.

    http://www.amazon.com/Philips-HF3520-Wake-Up-Colored-Simulation/dp/B0093162RM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1413413512&sr=8-1&keywords=philips+wake+up+light

Wakes you up "naturally" with a gradual brightening of the room and has a "sunset" function so you can fall asleep as it gradually dims. Also has birdsong to back up the light alarm. Wouldn't be without it.

My Kindle is pretty cool too.

That sounds so annoying Candie! I know it would get you up, but Jesus, I love my bed on a dark morning :pac:

Can't decide between my Leatherman Micra, Wave or Super Tool 300...

They all add 50 coolness points anytime someone asks for a screwdriver, scissors or a file.

It's a nice way to wake up - compared to the shrieking of a regular alarm in the darkness!

I love my bed too but when you have to get up, it makes it a gentler affair altogether. :)

Good point, must be better than the way I do it - setting 12 alarms five minutes apart from each other :pac:

I built a heated Jacuzzi outside my house myself, for a fraction of the price of having it done professional.

But as part of this I fitted a sound system into it which is pretty cool. Multiple speakers - all protected from the water - and placed so the sound works if you are using the Jauzzi - or just using the sound system from it when having a party in the garden - and multiple ways of feeding sound and music into it. Different ports and port standards, blue tooth, wifi, the works. It is also set up to rip any music that goes through it. So if someone at one of my house parties feeds some good music through it that I remember liking the next day, I can rip it out of the cache.

Pretty cool in my opinion. I have teched out my houe in a few cool ways too - but this one is my fave.

I've one of those too. Worth every single cent (and it's a lot of cents :\)

I've the wireless charger for my Nokia Lumia. Just the fact I can pick up, drop my phone to charge, without having to attach/detach something it's awesome.

We have one. Don't use it though these days we just let the sun wake us up :D - so by about 10:30 we're grand.

If I'm away, my wife does use it in reverse though. It lets you fall asleep to a slowly dimming light and or radio :)

Why do you need 3 of the same multi-tool?!

I like my Dremel variable speed rotary tool, me. Can't break it, seemingly.

    One plus one.
    Dashcam.
    Bluetooth earphones.
    Robot vacuum cleaner.
Probably my projector for TV is the coolest though.

Looking for a head up display for my car though that would be pretty cool.

    I do love my fleshlight.

I was only saying to my father the other day "Its hard to remember how we managed to get by before these things were invented!"

    He reluctantly agreed.

    Forgot my beloved nexus 7.
    Brilliant device.

I have a Casio F-91W. Built in light and hourly chimes are livesavers but the stop watch and alarm functions really knock it over the top.

I've been looking for something like this for a while.
That looks nice but it seems expensive.
Can't find an app that does the same for some reason. There should be.

Raspberry pi, it's small, cheap, silent, cheap to run and so powerful.

I've one running openVPN, nginx, wifi controller and various servers for managing my home entertainment content. Can access it from anywhere in the world for getting anything I need from my servers at home. Doesn't miss a beat.

I have a factory-fitted carphone setup in my fifteen-year-old car, with a Nokia 6310i on a pay-as-you-go SIM sitting snugly in it. When I don't answer my Galaxy S4, or it's off for some reason, it diverts to the old Nokia. Proper old-school cool, and Blueteeth my arse!
