    Please find below the current list of forthcoming talks on the history of Ireland’s famous yacht ASGARD. Everybody welcome and all talks commence at 8pm.

    Thursday 9th October, Irish Naval Association, Stella Maris, Beresford Place, Dublin
    Monday 13th October, Clontarf Historical Society, Parish Centre, St John’s R.C. Church.
    Thursday 6th November, Donaghmede History Society, Donaghmede House on Newbrook Road.
    Thursday 20th November, National Maritime Museum of Ireland, Maritime Museum, Haigh Terrace, Dún Laoghaire.
    Tuesday 25th November, Howth Peninsula Heritage Society, Howth Sea Angling Club.


    The talk covers the history of the famous yacth from her building in 1905 to her conservation in Collin's Barracks Museum. The 23 day voyage collecting the guns and bringing them to Howth in July 1914 is covered in detail with some unique photos. Talk also includes the Conor O'Brien's KELPIE and the Kilcoole landing.
