Goal disallowed. Thought the ball went straight in.

Very harsh decision. Needed it and will need a goal to get back in this.

All the little things going in Galways favour at the minute.

Full back line is being destroyed in the second half. Downey is having serious trouble even touching the ball. Might be time to sub him, anyone else would already be off. The rest of the fowards are at least seeing some ball. 10 left 4 down, changes have to be made now. Turnbull really is a taleny.

Making a lot of bad decisions out there. Galway well on top now physically. Turnbull only forward causing them any problems. Downey not having a good day though just got a point.

Thought the keeper dived on the ball when we had a goal chance there.

We got robbed. Shoulda been a goal. Either way, not good enough.

    Cork 2-15 v Galway 2-17

No joy today. Turnbull is one for the future. Canning the difference unfortunately. Some nice hurlers coming through including Downey who was totally non existent in the semi and the final. We had 3 bad wides in the last 6 mins, such is life.

    Bollocks.

Our shooting and decision making was very poor at times. Ref didn't give us anything either as opposed to Galway when clear fouls which happens as Galway had obviously much more support. Sheehan not fit enough in the end and Turnbull was head and shoulders our best player.

Hard luck to the lads. Galway's deserving winners though. Liam O Shea is some player.

How? He was in the square before the ball.

Disappointing result but the team have given us a great year. outside of Sheehan and Turnbull I thought O'Shea put in a serious shift.

I'm not sure it was a clear goal, he was in the square before the ball, but the Canning goal was just as questionable for square ball. Think Galway were the better team overall. Disappointing but a great year none the less from the team.

Galway definitely the better team today. Their full forward line destroyed us.

Well done to the Cork lads. Some days you lose. Really really looking forward to watching a good few of these lads develop.

best of luck to the camogie teams tomorrow, both games on RTE.

Aishling Thompson named at centre back, at least they have had a few weeks to work on it.

Great win for Bandon over Ballymartle tonight, 2-22 to 1-18. Their incredible run in both football and hurling continuing. Na Piarsaigh beating the Glen 1-9 to 0-7 with about 20 to go. Glen might be finally running out of lives this year although can never count them out.

Edit: Wind is apparently very strong and Glen have it for the second half.

Gemma will be a big loss but I reckon Aisling attacking the ball might be a good option, that said I think kk will win by a couple of points. They are a well drilled team and set out to be hard to beat defensively and try to take their chances when they come their way. Bit like Waterford so hopefully a repeat of their result.

Hoggy looked to have snatched a draw with a monstrous free but Piarsaighs went down and scored a free of their own with the last puck...1-12 to 0-14. Na Piarsaigh play Bandon next. Two underdogs through!

    Na Piarsaigh win by 1

Playing with a very strong wind we have been poor, scored the goal with the last puck of the half. Also playing with an extra player in the half back line is a bad decision with that wind at your back. Meath the better team, with a very accurate free taker who will probably win them the game in the second half because the ref loves her whistle.

Severe dislike for that ref, sooooo whistle happy, ruined what could have been a good game, despite the conditions.

Overall I thought we were poor and got luckily at times. Meath were in a few times but for a poor touch. They also put their free taker into full foward and she did not take the long range frees, which they missed. Deservedly down to 14 at the end, but that didn't cost us. 3 mins et given and 3.23 in she blew for ft, 3.25 the ball went over for a Meath point.

Referee completely destroyed that match.....whistle happy and stopped the game from developing

The ref was terrible. Baffling decisions toward the end. Hope not there for the replay. That said the standard was very poor with so many mistakes.

    Agreed she was terrible

That referee made so many bad decisions and put the icing on the cake with the controversial blowing of the final whistle.

Gemma starts but I think she really is not fit and will come off.

Shockingly heavy shower there, conditions that will suit the defensive kk.

Despite clear fouls, he is playing advantage each tine, 4 mins 20 seconds gone before the ref blows for a foul-despite and it was a soft one, clear difference in refs style already, much better game as a result!

The Kilkenny tactic seems to have no one up front. They haven't looked like scoring.

Their set up is very defensive, which is exactly what they do normally, but surprising as they are with the wind.

    It's like Tyrone in football.
