50hz question

Hi, a bit of advice needed on the above.

Considering buying a smart tv, 50inch full hd hitachi brand.

Am happy with everything except this 50hz refresh rate as ive seen mixed reviews on it.

Some say its too slow, have seen others says its grand that its actually 60hz.

Tv be used for movies/dvds, netlix, ps3 and 4, xbox 360.

Its not the one I had in mind but if anyone with more tech could confirm if the 50hz would be an issue or not it would decide it for me?

More reading to further confuse you, looks like the whole area of refresh rate is a swamp filled with marketing hype and false data.....

Thanks for that, actually going to go with something different so it wont be an issue either way.
