Yes there will be, just like last season. Season 5 has 16 episodes and it will be split into two parts, it will run from now until November 30th with the second part airing sometime early in 2015, likely February.

what we've been wanting from the start and what we just got...

seriously probably the best epsiode to date you will love it carol nasty ploy was really clever.. Yeah just yeeh....:D

Holy crap that was incredible.... action, thrills and drama from start to finish. They seem to have upped the game on the effects too - some were seriously gory (and realistic).

For those who skip the "Next on..." sequence at the end, there is an extra scene at the end (part of this episode) that'll make long term fans go squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee..... :pac:

I think that was definitely one of the best episodes of The Walking Dead EVER

Loved it - Loved Carol !!!

Top class but ffs it took Carol 3-4 shots to hit the gas tank with a scoped weapon, then she nails the tank with a firework.

Its the small things that piss me off.

Mighty episode altogether, but have they forgotten about
    Beth
    or what's the story there?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,160 ✭✭✭tok9

    What was the scene after?

Great start to the season. I don't get TWD at times. This felt like more of a finale then the end of last season! :P

What an episode! It was just so tense. The throat cutting scene at the start was genuinely horrific. If that's anything to go by then I don't think they were joking when they said this would be the most brutal season yet.

I normally skip the preview so nice to see the extra scene with at the end. Regarding the final scene before the preview, the flashback trailer scene, I was wondering ...comic book stuff up next....
if that was Negan we saw. I thought it was might have been a little introduction before he came into it further into the series. But according to Robert Kirkman on Twitter it was actually the long-haired guy who they released from the trailer. Ah well...

But it's great to have them all back together again (except Beth), and also homeless. The wait for the next episode will seem long but we've just had months of waiting so I'm not going to complain about it!

Seriously, don't even attempt to read this if you've not seen this weeks episode..
The scene starts with an unknown person look at the sign for Terminus that rick had changed to say "No Sanctuary" - camera pans aroundto reveal a masked face, person slowly reveals the mask - Turns out it's Morgan http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0416694/?ref_=tt_cl_t8

was not expecting such a big episode, awesome stuff :D

Daryl running to Carol was too funny, I know it was supposed to be this big emotional scene but the way he did that just made me bust out laughing :pac:

well that was amazing! the human abattoir made me whimper a bit, so so horrific! carol has just shot up in my book, i had really started to hate her but fcuk me she played a blinder in this one! such a good start to the season, it had everything :D

any theories on what Abraham and Tara, seem to know when they say they'll tell rick something later while watching him hug judith? doesn't sound like good news

    The
    abattoir scene/butchers
was imo the most gorey scene of the series. I really should'nt have decided to eat my dinner while watching it!

Absolutely top notch episode. The pacing was great from start to finish and sets a high bar to the season.

I'm guessing since it's the most watched show on US television by quite some margin that more cash has been injected into it this season. Seemed that way anyway.

    Also, the BONUS SCENE!!!! Yay!

The "Then" scene at the very end, is that just to show us what created terminus. Or is there another point to it?

I think some of the Terminus characters will feature throughout this season and the "Then" scenes are to give some background as to what they've been through.

    The after credits scene
Where Morgan finds the poster Rick has altered to say "no sanctuary" is awesome. The episode Clear was amazing and I really like Morgan from season 1.

Is it just me or did the "no sanctuary" sign look like it was a bit overgrown when Morgan saw it? I have a feeling that a long time may have passed before that scene!

That opening scene was hard to watch. Very gory. great episode though. Did feel like a season finale haha. As a non-comic reader I wonder what direction it will go now

Now they have to find Beth and deal with the people who took her.

The transformation of Carol from meek battered wife to zombie slaying, ruthless, war waging badass has been brilliant. She's hands down the best character in it now.

What a great season opener, exactly what was needed. I loved
the abattoir scene, Daryl and Carols reunion and the final scene with Morgan
...I just loved this entire episode!

I don't usually watch the "Next time" previews but watched after the credits and saw the scene.

    Great episode
And here I, and I'm sure others, thought this was gonna be stretched out over at least half a season. Was like they ended last season there then changed their minds.
Strange how they didn't even attempt to see if Beth was around.

    As for the extra scene
Morgan did seem to know what that symbol was. Any guesses?

Next spoilers are Comic book related
Do you think that was them just messing with comic fans having Glen nearly meeting a baseball bat.
Thought it might've been Negan as well at the end, but that would mean he was beaten already

I think the main characters from the terminus troupe will survive (the leader guy anyway), they already survived something much worse and came out on top - they're probably out for Rick's groups blood now.

Also did anyone notice that the woman Carol left for dead with a bullet in her leg was Tasha Yar from Star Trek TNG?

Can someone refresh my memory regarding the
African american gentleman we see at the end? I know him from season 1 wit the rifle hiding in his house with his kid, but I don't remember anything else.
    What's the relevance?

That was Morgan, Rick met him in the first series and then again in series 3?

Personally I don't see why everyone is getting such a hard on about it

Yeah he helped Rick and he showed up again in Season 3 when Rick, Carl and Michonne did a run. His son was dead then

Wonder if they're gonna do a Banshee and always have post credits scenes now

That was fantastic. One of, if not the most enjoyable episode of the lot IMO.

That first scene was just so cold.

What's the rules for spoilers here? At what point can we freely discuss the episode without spoiler tags?
