Outlook 2013 sync issues

Recently changed my email from POP to IMAP so I could track emails that had been opened/replied etc on various devices during the day. Another words when I am out and about I reply/read emails on the phone and then when I get back to the office I sit down at the laptop and find it handy that IMAP allows me the benefit of not having to work out what's old or new.

I have slowly seen Outlook starting to throw up quirks like emails that I have sent showing up in Drafts and not being deletable unless I go into my hosting webmail and delete it from there.

I have read alot of posts but none seem to have a 100% solution. I did manually type in "inbox" in the advanced tab of email settings in the Root folder path which solved other issues (folders only be viewable on the local PC)

So bottom line can someone please tell me I have missed something and that MS have a bug fix for this considering how long some of the posts I have read go back to.

Check IMAP protocol settings again. If it is correct then disable Antivirus/Firewall program. Now, run Outlook.exe in safe mode.

I hope, User would be able to remove synchronization issues in Outlook 2013.
