    Can they stop your child benefit if you dont atttend interview for public service card? anyone know if they would take documents verified by guards?

    Yes they can stop child benefit and have done so for many people that haven't attended. And no only original documents

    If you can't attend because you are sick or have arrangements for that day just ring and make another appointment. If you fail to respond to a request to attend DSP will eventually presume your no longer at the address you gave and all your payments will be suspended.
    If you get your CB in the PO and the clerk asks you for your PSC then no, no other document will be accepted.
