Following on from previous years, your predictions every week should look like this:

In case of a single elimination
Bottom 2 - Act x and act y.
Eliminated - Act y.

In case of a double elimination
Bottom 3- act x, act y and act z
Eliminated - Act x and act y

You should always include a prediction for double elimination, just in case it is sprung on us as a surprise.

Points will be awarded as follows:


In case of a single elimination
Single Bottom 2 act correct -3 points
Both both two acts correct - 6
Correct act eliminated - 6

In case of a double elimination
Single Bottom 3 act correct -2 points
Two Bottom 3 acts correct - 4 points
All bottom 3 acts correct - 6 points
Eliminated act correct - 6 points

So the maximum points awarded each week will be 12.

In the case of twists in any week, I will review the formula, provided we are given notice prior to the live show.

I will tally up the scores as soon as I can after the Sunday night show (probably on a Monday) and will post them as a spreadsheet. If anyone sees any mistakes, please let me know!

I haven't seen much of bootcamp this year but from what I have seen I am really liking Andrea Faustini. Very likeable and a decent voice. I'm going with him as my overall winner!

I'll second this. First year taking part and I'm really looking forward to it!

This is really hard - I'm torn between a few, as there's no standout winner for me so far. Paul has been slightly deramped, going by the arena show and I suspect they'll mould him into a more old style soul/r&b type singer for the show. I can see him making top 3 though.
Andrea was given a fantastic edit at arena stage, but I can't see him winning the whole thing for some reason. I could be completely wrong though...he's a dark horse for sure.

My personal favourite is Lola, but given her final arena performance, I'm not even sure she'll make it to lives, which would be a shame. She's much better than that one dodgy performance suggested.

I really like Ben too, just not sure if he'll be swallowed up by other similar guys in the show this year.

So, on reflection, I'm gonna go with my gut and predict the 8 piece boyband will win. Ugh.

Boybands always do pretty well, but none have ever actually won. They're creating the most buzz at the moment and with more and more 'older' viewers choosing to switch over to BBC on Saturday nights, the younger voters may see them all the way to the final win this year.

I'm probably completely wrong, but that's all the reasoning I can come up with at this early stage! Sorry for the long post

I haven't watched an episode yet, and have only seen a few of their auditions. This prediction thread is the only thing keeping me interested in the show.

I will pick Stephanie Nala as the winner, as I liked her on BGT. Being on Cheryl's team will probably not help, but I really do not know enough about the other contestants to pick a winner.

Thanks once again IBC for running this, was great fun last year.

This is really hard. I really like Fleur but think she'll get lost amongst the others and I'm not sure what demographic she'll really appeal to. She's only 26 but might seem too "old" to the young voters, and too young to the older voters.

So this is my prediction:

I agree with you about Fleur ibc, but I wonder will people like Chloe. Then again, Kitty Brucknell lasted a good while and I don't know who was voting for her! Plus Chloe has Cheryl 'Britain's Sweetheart'™ as mentor so I reckon she'll get votes from that.

It's a tough one. Especially as I have been avoiding papers and gossip sites so I'm not sure how people are reacting to the finalists.

Oh,are we allowed to know the songs before we predict? I thought the idea was to predict spoiler-free. Wish I had waited to post my prediction now coz knowing what each act will be singing does give you an advantage in predicting the bottom two. :-(

Tough being the first week and all so I'm basing my prediction entirely on song choices alone.

Ben & Blondies seem to have gotten the short straw in my opinion. Ben singing Bridge over troubled water :eek: Come on, we've been hearing that song on talent shows since the Hear Say days! :rolleyes:

The songs are usually posted in the spoiler thread a few days before the live show. It's up to you whether you want to read it or not, some people prefer not knowing. But there's no rule against reading that thread before making your prediction.

This week's results!

Hopefully that's viewable, let me know if there are any problems or if I've made any mistakes.

Just a couple of things:

1. I messed up in the OP on how I would do the scoring if it was a double elimination So the points have been awarded as follows:
- 2 points for each correct bottom 3 prediction
- 3 points for each correct elimination prediction
As one Overload Generation was a wildcard entry, no one scored full points this week, but well done to the 5 who are currently sharing top spot

2. I thought the best way to keep track of the overall predictions was to keep them in the sheet from the start, so everyone who took part in that round currently has 10 points from it, and I will remove these points if your act is sent home.
