Just started. Smith did quite ok in the first, but Abraham is a notoriously slow starter, so it will be interesting to see how long the gameplan works.

Smith could be in serious trouble if Abraham keeps connecting with these big punches

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,430 ✭✭✭megadodge

Smith wins the second. Very good jab, often blocked, but keeping Abraham occupied.

Thought Abraham clearly took the 2nd

Thought Abraham won the third, but no way the second!

He's landing his jabs now and also the occasional right. Smith has taken them well in fairness, but accumulation...

Thought Smith took it myself tbh.

Smith is being outclassed I'm afraid.

Fair play to Smith, his best round by far

He's behind, but outclassed??? I think he's doing quite well actually.

Rounds 3,4 & 5 were awfully one sided IMO. But these last 2 rounds are making that statement look foolish alright

Smith keeps trying to counter left hook over Abraham's right, but keeps missing. And the problem is the right is going to land at some stage as he's missing.

Smith's best round so far. No smile from Abraham during the round this time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,465 ✭✭✭supersean1999

    Abraham is completely shot ,

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,465 ✭✭✭supersean1999

Smith needs to finish the attack with a body shot as much as possible

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,317 ✭✭✭HigginsJ

    I like Joe Gallagher

    Jesus, is the upset on?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,317 ✭✭✭HigginsJ

Abraham is taking some damage from Smiths right to the body

Might just be, hope he keeps it up. Keep going to the body

This is so close, did not think Smith could hang at this level. Don't see Smith winning it on points unless he takes these last 2 rounds

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,178 ✭✭✭carltonleon

After the 10th round, Paddy Powers have AA 2/9. Not sure about that

    Hometown advantage and horrible judges

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,430 ✭✭✭megadodge

Betfair have AA at 3/1 on, which is wrong imo, but the markets seldom lie.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,178 ✭✭✭carltonleon

Work-rate from Smith has been immense.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,465 ✭✭✭supersean1999

In a fair world smith has won IMO, but the world ain't fair ,

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,465 ✭✭✭supersean1999

115-113 from watt ,, wishful thinking

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,430 ✭✭✭megadodge

I think Smith got it, but...

I think that's a perfectly fair scorecard. I don't know what you were watching if you think that's way off.

This is why this sport makes me sick on occasion. It is rotten to the core

That's why I laughed at watts 115-113 it was fair, but was wishful thinking, another sad night for boxing, how many blatent corrupt scorecards are there in boxing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,351 ✭✭✭djhaxman

Seriously, what's the point even going to Germany?

Months of work wasted and a great performance, i feel very sorry for Smith.

Too many I'm afraid. It is just sickening & I really feel for Smith.

While poor scorecards happen everywhere, Germany has become a joke. People are wasting their time travelling there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,465 ✭✭✭supersean1999

36 mins and one judge gave him one round, what a joke, bank accounts need to be checked

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 98 ✭✭Ahhhhh its grand

This is why I don't watch much boxing anymore. Fair enough, with unbiased judging I wouldn't complain too much if Abraham just nicked it it was very close. But 119-109 from one judge?? Paul Smith only winning 1 round? That is beyond belief.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,183 ✭✭✭jobless

what's the point in watching boxing anymore... its corrupt as fcuk

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,317 ✭✭✭HigginsJ

Joe Gallagher with a nice pointed message for Eddie Hearn there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,465 ✭✭✭supersean1999

We are as well to just watch the fight and knock it off before the judges, crazy stuff tonight that 119 must be the worst ever,

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,629 ✭✭✭LowOdour

Do these judges report to a higher authority regarding their decisions?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,993 ✭✭✭Soups123

Disgusting behaviour killing the sport. How what happened tonight can be allowed, it was close I thought Smith lost it by 1.
