    Hi all,

Im researching doing a Health and Fitness app for my FYP. But I'm trying to find out what is the problem, if they have any, with Health and Fitness apps?

    Cheers

A lot of them give you an amount of calories burned for an exercise despite not knowing how hard you worked.

Exactly, some don't use your age, weight and fitness level to accurately calculate calories burned. They give the same calories burned for a 70 year old small man/woman as a 23 year old overweight man/woman.

Food databases that are overly US-biased - which makes tracking what you've eaten awkward. Admittedly MyFitnessPal seems to have fixed that issue more than a lot of others.

It's a very crowded space at the moment and getting more crowded all the time.

Personally unless an app can support pulling in data from external sources I won't bother with it. So any app would need to be able to hook up with things like Fitbit
