I'm about to take up a new job abroad and am offloading eveything cycling related that I've acquired in the last two years:

    - Boardman Team road bike , bought July 2012 for €1,000...Shimano 105 shifters and groupset, Mavik Aksium wheelset with full carbon fork & seatpost.

    €600 ono

Tacx Satori High Power turbo trainer (and a trainer road tyre), bought Nov 13, used about 5 times €160

Endura Venturi II jacket Large, worn twice, great jacket, cost in June from Evans, GB£151.99, on sale for €110

Louis Garneau Liberty 2 baggy shorts (Lg), brand new with tags, €25

Garmin Edge 705, bought this in 2011, great piece of kit, €130

    Giiro Monza 2013 Helmet, €45

    Bike hut track pump €10

Shimano SPD SL Cleat set €10

Cateye TL-LD1100 10 LED rear light, 2 of these, €20 each

Cateye Volt 300 Front USB rechargeable light, €32

Swiss stop Flash Pro brake bads, front & rear , new in packaging , €15

Gore phantom SO padded bib tights, XL (worn 3 times)...€40

Photos of everything except the bib tights here

I would love someone to take everything off my hands, that can be done for €950, unlikely I know but let's see.

I'm in Kilkenny but can get these items to a lot of counties through a work delivery run.

    Thanks for looking.

OK they're yours, tights are xl and every bit of it, I wouldn't be poured into them like with a lot of large size cycling gear

Sold...im pretty sure it has a map, ive never used that feature... I'Ll confirm later

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,021 ✭✭✭rflynnr

I'm open to correction on this but my understanding is that the 705 came with a pre-installed base map as standard which based on my previous experience of using it was nearly useless (i.e. the map never conformed to real geography). Thus I guess I'm thinking of a Map on an SD card. Yours may well already such a map, in which case terrific, but I would like to check first.

Just so you know, you can download maps for free for this unit. www.dcrainmaker.com has a walkthrough for doing it and links to different sites and reviews etc (great site).
    Sorry for butting in...

Thanks Triggermortis - that is very helpful. And just to clarify - my offer is €130 if the unit comes with a Garmin map (ideally for Europe but I'd be happy with Ireland) other than the basemap. Otherwise, it's €110. Fully understand if the OP wishes to withdraw the sold status on that basis.

I think it just has a pre-installed map as you describe, which is useless.

Lets just go with €110, you never know, you might get lucky and find it actually has what you're looking for.

Sorry I'm afraid of being stuck with the wheels which will be no use to me, and €400 isn't enough for what is effectively the whole bike gone as far as I'm concerned ...

Unless someone comes in with an offer for the wheels and I'll see how the numbers add up
