      Is it a big deal?
      I seen a bit on the news earlier but I don't know if it's an issue or not.

      It's a big deal because bash is the primary language of the *nix command line and is generally pretty secure. It has significant implications for servers for example. Running a dodgy script could do some damage.

      It's not going to allow people to easily access your sysyem, like heartbleed. They will need some privaliges to get to that point first.

      How soon do you think we'll get a fix ? Interesting to see how quick Apple respond.

      Just tried my 10.9.4 system here and it's vulnerable. Updated to 10.9.5 and no change.

      Are you running anything accessible from the Internet on your Mac that might use bash in some way? If not, then it doesn't matter if you're vulnerable.

      This is a potentially serious flaw for servers but not for home users.
