Obvious pick is Costa at home to Villa, which I'll probably do as well. But I have a shiny new Kun and Angel to play with

I'm going to pick one of Rikands' front seven.

I fly to Japan on Saturday, which is clearly a sign I should captain him :pac:

    Cesc Fabregas
Probably Costa, but I think Pelle is a viable choice given his form and how QPR have been shipping goals.

    Cesc Fabregas
I has to be Costa I think.

It's the first week in a while that he hasn't been injured!:)

    Costa
    Rooney
    Pele
    Fab
    Rambo
    Di Maria
    Siggy

    ?

Rambo and Siggy are probably the only ones im not seriously considering, but ya never know

Was going to go Aguero until I remembered Villa have had a virus go through the squad, interesting to see how quickly they recover from it

Not captaining Costa at home is probably a silly move anyway

    Cesc Fabregas
Costa over ADM or Aguero for me, I think.

Costa - Villa have good away form (0-1 vs Stoke, 0-1 vs Liverpool) but lost 3-0 to Arsenal in last match.

Aguero - Hull have drawn last two home games (1-1 vs Stoke, 2-2 vs WHam), and conceded goals in every game except GW1 against QPR.

Di Maria - ManU look like they can start scoring again; 7 goals in last 2 games with ADM getting a goal and an assist in each. WHam beat Liverpool 3-1 at home last week, haven't lost an away game yet and ManU's defense is still uh, sub par.

    Cesc Fabregas
I'm tempted by ADM since he'll most likely play 90 mins. Chelsea have Sporting away next Tuesday and City have Roma the same day.

    Cesc Fabregas
Costa as I feel he will run riot against a Villa defense that's yet to crack.

Adm doesnt seem to have 90 mins in him at the moment. He got subbed before 80 min against leicester at 3-3 and i cant imagine it was a tactical change. Costa and aguero are both unlikely to last 90 mins either though, ill give you that.

For me its Costa or Pelle. Most likely costa

    Costa.

And given the numbers, very risky to captain everyone else.

Costa easy choice, pelle 2nd choice di Maria 3rd choice

Not worth the risk this early on. Some may captain ADM but the majority will be with Costa. I'll pick him and expect other players to do the damage for me.

Despite him leaving me down last week Costa again

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,675 ✭✭✭HighClass

Kind of has to be Costa this week, if he ends up getting another hattrick and you're the one who didn't captain him you're screwed!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 328 ✭✭Griever931

    Cesc Fabregas
Probably will go back to Diego Costa again with Fabregas as vice captain.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,009 ✭✭✭kronsington

Is Sanchez not on that poll? I'd fancy arsenal to put a few past spurs..

Costa is the obvious choice.. To go "safe" with him?? I'd expect City to best Hull this week so Kun has to be considered

Schneiderlin at home against QPR is in with a shout on my team. I'll probably bottle it on Saturday morning and go with Costa like everyone else.

When you come out of it with 2 points, you probably deserve your fate. Way too big a risk.

Tempted costa but might risk for Pelle. Still early days on GW 6

Question is who is likely to crack more when conceding the 1st goal, Villa or QPR?

Depends how villa's squad recovers from their virus.

Imagine if you had Blackett captained last week!

I'll probably go with Costa. Still a bit early to make the decision though.

    Yeah please don't jinx it!

Worse thing is I didn't take any gamble (Rooney away to Burnley, Sterling home to Villa (because of Costa fake injury concern), and Costa away to City (because no united cover))...

    Wayne Rooney
    ADM,
I've been very fortunate with captains so far this year and I've had him captain last two GW's
United are playing very well from an attacking perspective, he seems to be at the centre of anything good and will, through out the season pick up some serious BP's.
Costa a close second but I'm not sure how he will do against what has been a relatively tight Villa team so far this season and with potential rotation issues in play, its hard to know.

He'll get a rest tonight and I'd say Remy or Drogba will start against Sporting.

Not so sure. He didn't start v Schalke and that didn't work out well. They can't afford to slip up v Sporting

Would be bonkers for Mourinho to follow that route. They'll win that group for sure.

I could see the argument if Arsenal didn't follow Sporting. More likely he starts against Villa then Sporting so he can recover

5 days tho between Sporting and Arsenal. Can you really see him not starting away to Sporting in a pretty crucial game?

Sporting couldn't beat Maribor. If this was GW5 of the Champions League, then he'd definitely start but Remy or Drogba should be able to do the business.
