Now that they are almost done and both made their choices anyway it seems safe to mention who I woulda booked vs Hogan, might not have won out vs Cena or Orton which would both be very interesting but I woulda went with Hogan vs Kozlov Rusev

really pump up the mid card with the ultimate real American vs the foreign invader while leaving the main eventers that Hogan would look like $hit in comparison to at his age free to face others in huge matches

I would have said Rusev too, or perhaps a heel Jack Swagger myself. With Hogan starring at the lights to both.

Rusev was my second choice if Cena was taken.

Just for clarification, you want a nineties gimmick to stay the same(same character and wrestler) but be handled differently? Does it matter if it's someone who actually was pretty well known and did okay or one that just disappeared as quickly as came on the scene?

Well the essence of the character (the look, the person behind it etc) should be the same, but the character can be taken in different direction than where it went on reality, who the character reused with , how hard he was pushed, what angles he could have been put in and why

I think the character could be anyone who you think did ok but could have done better.

    So is my answer :)

Apologies, but currently researching an answer since I pretty much missed the nineties, and what I did see at the beginning was just a couple PPVs. Suddenly I'm not so thankful for missing all these dodgy gimmicks. :)

Ah don't worry about it, you're better off taking your time than rushing your answer, esp against defending champ.

Also match 4 is up too.

Well you can eat a sandwich now. It's up.

It's bad when can't find any redeeming qualities in a gimmick.

    Have fun!

Nice answer, didn't see that one coming. I like it. Now to be a total hypocrite and come up with some reasons why I don't like it! This game is gas.

Due to the time difference (I'm back in Asia) only saw the thread now. Have an Idea for Steen (v. Interesting question) but will not get to my computer for 6+ hours so maybe liz will get her post in first ...we will see

edit: and it's up, didn't go with the idea I had with him debuting straight away on Raw akin to how someone used him previously in the draft but instead on the spot made up a random long spiel about Inuits and the NXT 5. really curious to see what Liz has now

    As is mine.

Getting confusing writing these. Dunno how many times I've written "will" instead of "would have" as if this is something expected to happen in the future

Cheers for a good debate Winnie! Roll on the QF's!

Apologies for the delay BH, I have to familiarise myself with Kevin Steen tbh :o

    And final reply is up.

Good points, well made Omackeral and great debating with you

Now to play the waiting game.

Tbh Liz I didn't want every question to be WWE orientated , though I do realise that not everyone watches non wwe wrestling. Thought NXT was a good compromise, esp since Steen and Devitt havehhad a lot of exposure on here in recent months.

No worries Liz you werent that long after myself afterall and methinks this will be an interesting round Fox vs Brawley, pro authority vs Anti-authority, NXT First vs straight to Raw

Yeah thats an issue I had myself before, some people wanted TNA, New Japan and Indie questions etc but lets be honest here, most wrestling fans only know the WWE therefore even if I asked one that was outside the box I'd probably end up giving it a lot of scope or mention it in relation to the WWE i.e which Indie / International talent would you debut in the WWE and how (Kinda like this question)

Well our first 1/4 finalists are set as Garseys heads fourth after a good debate over one last Hogan run with Winne, also Lord TSC heads out after Shagnasti pitches the better Network show (at least according to those who voted).

So its Garseys v Shag in the next round. Commiserations to both Lord TSC and Winnie who debated very well IMO.

With Match 3's poll up and Match 4 already into teh rebuttal stage, match 5 (GerryBBadd V MrKiscool) will be up soon.

Some great debates so far guys.

Very impressed with the Lord TSC vs ShagNastii bout. 60/40 is a very close margin in these things. Thouroghly enjoyable reading. I had a hard time casting a vote one way or the other, which is a sign of a great debate. Well done boys.

I liked both shows to be fair, very hard to decide as I could watch both, as well as see the flaws in each of them.

Oh and Match 5 is up.

Match 6 features myself and LeeMJ and Bounty Hunter shall be choosing that question later and will post when he sees fit.

Odds are I'll post up your match up today. Once we only have 4 ATH threads (5inc the discussion thread) on the 1st page at once there should be no issue.
