    Hi All,
Just wandering does anyone know if it is possible to get shots of the Limerick wagon transfers leaving Limerick whilst standing on the platforms at Colbert? Also does any shunting take place around the yard at a particular time prior to these transfers working? I am in Limerick all week and hope to get some shots of the transfers while I am there. Any info at all would be greatly appreciated.
    Seán

I wouldn't have thought so, the works and main portion of the yard would not really be visible from the platforms.
you may get a glimpse of the departure from here google map or here

    Or a better view here
    google map
but the best view would probably be Killonan Junction if you have transport to get out there.

If it helps times for Wednesday should be Dep Limerick 10:00, arrive back at 15:45

Killonan is definitely the best spot but I'd have to get a taxi there. I can get a bus to Dromkeen which is cheaper for me. Dromkeen has a manual crossing, platform and passing loop. Can't go wrong.

Is it possible to get shots from this bridge or are the sides too tall? https://www.google.ie/maps/@52.6563713,-8.6180557,3a,75y,42.44h,83.91t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1saqluu3S8CR_ABdQTMnSNIQ!2e0

The green bridge is a bit high if you don't have something to stand on but there are gaps at the side of the bridge between the green ironwork and the stone work big enough for a camera

I caught 085 on the Waterford to Limerick wagon transfer at Dromkeen station today along with a few 2800s and 22000s.
