I have a query how should I account for a development grant received for a company website (intangible asset) in the year? Reduced the cost of the intangible asset or show as income on the p/l

Generally it should be netted against the cost of the website in the balance sheet. Check the terms of the grant to see if there are any terns and conditions on the grant that May effect it's treatment.
