Sky tv not working

    So basically last night the tv wouldn't turn off which i believed was because the batteries in the remote stopped working so i flicked the switch to turn the thing off. When i go to to turn the tv, sky isn't working and it is connecting cos the red light in the box appears when pressing the button for sky.
    Any advice? No tv on a sunday :(

    Plug out from sky box out from wall..leave for 2 minutes. Plug it back in again
